I used to use an older Gtech pro and the only time you used the weight of the car was to figure horsepower. the 1/4 mile, 0 to 60, G forces for braking and cornering all use an accelerometer and a accurate clock. Mine always seemed to be accurate. I think they claim accuracy to .1 sec.
Re:
Y2K yellow cost extra on the vette, and there is lots of extra cost colors around the industry. Mostly it's because of extra steps in painting or a special clear coat that may not even be "clear"
Chuck, Chuck, Chuck..... The SRT 10 I bought didn't come with a cupholder. However I chose to take out the ash tray and install a ring to help make it one. I drive it to work and sometimes even to the golden arches. I would rather spill coffee or diet coke in it than drop a lit smoke. Why...
As I have said for good while, for the average selling price of a GT, you can buy 2 SRT-10's and a 2 car garage to put them in. And on any given day 2 out of three will likely out run it.
Re: Dealer has excess 04\'s....pricing?
In march, I purchased a untitled, driven only by the gen manager, silver 04 srt, with 3000 miles for $63K. This was at community dodge in Indianapolis. this car looks as new. I did, and still do, think I got a bargain.
