My two Viper purchases were both from long-standing forum members here and the second was purchased sight unseen from across the country. It all comes down to your comfort level and risk tollerance.
When I sold my last Viper, it was also bought sight unseen - again from across the country - by...
I agree with the price point, though I don't think it would neccessarily be an easy sale.
It will all depend on your timeline and how urgent the sale is.
Anyone know what the going prices are for the Yellow 5-spokes that came on the '96 Red RT/10's and a few of the 97 GTS cars?
I was home for the holidays and my Dad reminded me I had a set stored in his garage and asked what I wanted to do with them. Given the size and weight I'm not sure it's...
I agree with redtanrt10. Ask someone in a similar situation like Milkman. If his car sat for several months being listed at $52K with half the miles your car has, it would seem to indicate your car would be worth somewhere south of $52K if you want to sell it in less than who knows how many...
The prices seem okay if they can pass a thorough inspection by a quilified Viper tech. I think you could find cars with a better history and lower miles for similar pricing if you are patient though.
Well, the reserve hasn't been met at that price and it hasn't sold so no way to tell what the seller is actually looking to get or whether it will sell.
On my RT/10 there was a vacuum line on the passenger side near the cowl that came undone which resulted in no A/C. I think it was the control for the vent flaps. Put that back together and all was good. Might be worth a look.
Do you have the stock parts for it? The right buyer for your car is likely going to want some or all of them.
Without actually knowing your car I can only speculate, but having recently sold my own '97 B/W, if your car is a clean, no-stories car I would say your price is fair and if you aren't...
Congrats on the new Gen2
I have a lightly used Mopar/Borla cat-back that I never got around to putting on my '97 if you're looking for an exhaust. Not sure how I'd get it shipped to SoCal though as the box is way to big to fit in my GTO.
What are they offering you on trade for your '09? That will give you a closer idea of where the market is at. If the dealer will give you $69k towards your '10 I'd take it and run.
That guy wants $15000 PLUS the $38000 needed to pay off the lein. That car is going to be for sale for a looooooong time.
That '96 RT/10 sounds like a great deal.
