I attended the ALMS race at COTA a couple of weeks ago. The SRT set up is top notch and well worth the money. Much better than the Corvette people had which was a tent next door. If they come back here next year I will be there.
I was going to order some parts from them but I thought it might be a good idea to wait until the smoke clears to send it. I am afraid they might get my money and I not get my parts.
My old Gen.1 doesn't have a low fuel light, I guess I am lucky it has a guage! I have run it down to 1/8th of a tank without any problems. It does have a 21 gallon tank.
Yes I am signed up for the event. I am not staying at the hotel where the event is being held , so most likely I will be meeting up with you at the track. I will be arriving in Austin probably early afternoon on Friday. won'
I have fiberglass side sills on my car. When you go to fiberglass side sills you have to use the factory insulation plus a insulation wrap that comes with the package. I have had them on my car for 5 years now with no problems at all. After a long highway run you can put your hand on the side...
I have lowering springs on my 95 and have no high speed handling problems. Had it to 150 mph with no problems. I also have tracked it with no problems. I had Tomball Dodge align mine.

Here is a video of some exhaust systems on different year models. Mine is the Gen.1. Hopefully this helps.
I installed them in my 95. There is more vibration but it doesn't bother me. It isn't bad enough to vibrate the mirrors. With my exhaust noise and rough ride (due to lowering) a little more vibration isn't even noticeable. Rides and drives like a race car.
You might try using an iron on blue jean patch. Put it on the inside of the top and it won't show on the outside. I have used this on car covers before. You can buy the patches at Wal-Mart.
I think you will find that your 96 uses the same hard top as the 92-95. The top that I have on my 95 came off of a 96. You are correct in that you do have to remove the sports bar pad to install the hard top. The 92-95's also have the slots in the sports bar pad that are used to install the soft...
I installed Woodhouse engine and transmission mounts in my Gen.1 about 3 months ago. They give you a little more vibration but it doesn't bother me. The Gen.1 is is pretty raw anyway.
I had DC Performance tune mine after I installed the heads and cam. My car ran fine with the stock tune but it was a little lean but it put up some good numbers.
Last Saturday I ran the Houston Half Mile in my Gen1. At around 140 mph I heard a loud pop. The front top corner of the drivers side window had about a 2" gap between the window and the windshield post. The window was very close to coming completely off of the car. Apparently at some time when I...
