enclosed trailer tie downs
I have borrowed a 24 foot car hauler to make a 1000km trip so I can get some seat time in my viper. What is the best way to restrain a 2010 coupe in an enclosed trailer. DT- Drew

Well today although cold, the roads where dry. I was able to take my FE for a ride in northern BC. It was awesome to get some seat time and put on a few clicks, even if I didn't get beyond third gear. Back in storage and getting a cut wax, polish and paint seal before its put in a local...- Drew

Aztvr - I agree it was probably something minimal on the board. I didn't see the insides of the device bit with the location being at front front of the car I'm sure it's sealed. And to be honest, it is what it is and I'd rather not mess around. Not sure what happened to the original and not too...- Drew

With out a doubt, the new PCM arrived, installed, relearned, key on gauges moved like they should, push of the red button and she came to life. A little surprised pulling the fuel pump fuse would nuke a $1700 plus PCM. Oh well, expensive lesson.....- Drew

Let's get an odometer reading from everyone
2010 FE, purchased Oct 2011 with 255km, in storage at the moment with 407km. My post is all about a timeline cause she ain't gona be a garage queen. Snow is still thick here, 16th of Feb she is getting put in a trailer and heading southbound for some seat time before driving school in March...- Drew

Gen 4 window scratches
Found the culprit, hard plastic, add dirt and vibration and the result is a messed up window. Plan of attack, body shop will remove what they can, and dress each side with mole skin and see if minimizes additional damage. Part #11- Drew

My prediction is its going to look a lot like this but in coupe form. I cant help but the think the skin changes will be minimal, radical changes under the skin, and better fit and finish of the interior- Drew

Gen 4 window scratches
But the weird part is its on passenger and driver side windows all 3 cars, same dimensions in the exact same spot. Sonoman..the scratches are a couple inches below the area of the rubber seal. I believe there is something in the door that touches the window to "retain" it from rattling with the...- Drew

I had my side windows tinted yesturday. Wasnt to impressed to find scratcheds on the outside of both windows that wasnt detectable before the tint was installed. There are 4 other vipers parked in the same location, 2009, and 2010 models had same scratches, 2008, no scratches. Has anyone else...- Drew

Thanks C-Note, Ive looked into Viper Days, closest venue is Arizona in March. 7000km return trip. Thats 70 Hrs of driving in unpredictable weather. update. Gone through all fuses and relays with a test light. Power in the fuse box is not an issue. Gone through door unlock with key, battery disconnect, and a few other suggestions with the FOB. Was told to try turning key on-off-on-off-on and faults should be seen in the speedo digital read...- Drew

No Go. walk up to the car, door locked use the FOB unlock the door, jump in key in ignition, turn key. Gauge indicators all 4 dont move at all, all 4 gauge leds are on push the start button, radio/clock dies, blower relay in fuse box clicks, oil temperatre led goes out, the other three stay on...- Drew
