I keep forgetting about the whole SRT rebranding. As long as it's an SRT not a Jeep they can put any grille they want on it. The unpainted crosshairs seem to be a big hit.:)
The seven slot grille is as iconic to Jeep as the V-10 is to the Viper. Perhaps more so as it dates back to 1942.
<--- More of a Jeep purist than a Viper purist..... and that says a lot.
Thanks, Speed.
I do have two VEC 2 (upgraded to VEC 3 software) boxes, both recently gone through by Sean. I also have 2 harnesses, one a Gen 2 and one a Gen 3. Either could be rebuilt by Sean to whatever you want pretty cheap. I am also local to the OP!
Feel free to PM me for more details.
This. Mine is the JMB Powdercoat long version as well. Very high quality product. It is actually not open as the top of the box seals against the hood around the NACA duct when closed. Like srvr4 said the long version supposedly pulls air from in front of the radiator.
It's funny you ask that. I was actually shopping for a C2 when my neighbor put his Viper (now my GTS) up for sale. I resisted for a long time until he took me for a ride, then I was hooked. To me the GTS had the feel, the 'soul' if you will, that a 40 year old 'Vette had. It has a vintage car...
Between driving karts and my Jeep off road, my 16 year old's first 'on road' drive will not be that much of a thrill for him. Especially not lugging my Viper around a parking lot. Lol.
