Latest radar detector Test
I used my V1 for the first time the day after Christmas. I took a 400 mile trip to Dallas. There were several traps on the way, and V1 worked great. It's worth the extra bucks.- Red Mist Viper

Driver Door Alignment Issue
When I purchased my Viper the driver's door would not close properly and the window did not seat against the w/s correctly--which caused a lot of wind noise. The dealer fixed the problems by replacing the w/s and adjusting the fit of the door. Cost me nothing but time. The door is still a...- Red Mist Viper

How important speed and power was to you when you bought a Viper?
Looks and power. When the Viper first came out I wanted one--but I couldn't afford it then. However, when the GTS came out I instantly fell in love with the body style...and then when it went to 450 horses, well that was it for me. After reading this thread, it should be pretty obvious--drive YOUR Viper home. I learned a lot during my 400 mile trip and gained some valuable driving experience too. Need feedback from guys with both Vipers and Corvettes!!
I have a '93Vette and a '02GTS. No question, you'll scrape. I find that pulling in slowly and on an angle works for me--apparently (many) others too. In a way you're lucky because you have previous experience in your low-riding Vette. Therefore, you already know where most of your problem...- Red Mist Viper

Anybody have USAA on their Viper?
I've had USAA for about 15 years. I think they're great. They insure everything I own to include my '02GTS, '93vette, and two Toyota's. I've read the complaints on the web too--eye opening to say the least, and humbling. Therefore, I agree with the others, and recommend you shop around...- Red Mist Viper
