Fresh air intake help needed
Your wasting your time, the major problem with the paxton intake is that it has a restriction not the fact that the air is not from outside. What do you guys use to delete the cats?
My car had factory headers borla(2 muffler) and no cats. It was a bit on the loud side but it sounder fantastic, got nothing but compliments from people who were surprised that a viper can sound that good.- Russ M

Thats exactly what I am saying. The year matters I know for a fact that at least 98's and 99's(not sure about what portion of those years) do not have external regulators on the assembly. I have a factory pump that you can buy if you are interested. How does $200.00 sound? It has 15k miles. You cant put in an after market pump unless you also put in a return line and a regulator. Factory pumps run 55 psi, aftermarket walbro's regulate internally to 100psi or so.- Russ M

You may want to talk with DC as well, they have managed to impress me with who ever ports their heads. At the last dyno day they had a gen 3 with ported heads and some supporting mods make nearly 600rwhp. But Greg Good seems to be the man when it comes to viper heads.- Russ M

You dont need the injectors unless your goal is to run 14psi, and that is the only thing you will need if you want to run 14psi. The kit is complete from computer to hoses.- Russ M

If your running 14:1 compression you will be also running race fuel, since that is no longer a street car that can run on pump gas. Which means you will still be running 12.5-1 air/fuel. But you are correct if your motor is that high compression then you will be richer than your normal NA...- Russ M

Plum, I have personally seen a factory pump make 640rwhp on a viper without a boost a pump or anything, this was a nitrous car. Bottlefed, The stock pump is good for about 700crank hp if you run it at factory pressure, the higher the pressure the less power it can support. It makes a big...- Russ M

Its 55psi, just like all the other vipers. On the newer cars the regulator is in the pump on the older ones they seem to have that metal piece. Not sure at what point they switched but for sure a 99 is internally regulated, no metal regulator.- Russ M

Bottlefed, Walbro 340's are just the part number of the pump its a 255lph pump like the factory one but walbro has several version of them. Some designed for low pressure and some like the 340's for high pressure. Meaning these pumps are much more efficient if you run pressures above 60psi...- Russ M

Paxton Gen 2 for sale
The kit does not come with the injectors, just the paxton kit with all the fuel components included with the kit. The UGR cars make that much power because they have sympathetic dyno facilities to aid their cause. In other words I have yet to see one come anywhere close to what they claim...- Russ M

Sounds good, but you need to make a few adjustments. Get Walbro 340 pumps the OEM pumps are regulated internally to 55 psi, which means you cant make more pressure than that with them.
