Your tires are most likely 3 years old now since its an 06 maybe even 4. Put on a fresh set of tires and you will loose that feeling, and possibly keep yourself from flying off the road and hitting a telephone pole.
Kevin,
Would have to disagree with you there, on the zo6. It is not unheard of to have a 600rwhp zo6 NA, because their heads flow extremely well all you need is cam/headers/tuning and you can get a lot out of them
The only mod that a viper v10 can do to neglect any zo6 mod is a turbo setup...
With the mods you listed your car will make more power than a Zo6 but will be heavier.
Its going to come down to the driver, but with equal drivers a gen 2 with those mods should take a zo6.
Forgeline VR1's are 18 front(11x18) and 19 (13x18)rear, you can also get the VR1R's which are even a bit lighter and a wider offset as well. According to their website they are discontinued, but if those are that light then there must be others close to them.
The NX kit was very poorly jetted anywhere above 100hp, and even that was extremely rich. You need to up the bottle pressure to get a good base to work with, 1050 is a good PSI, then adjust your jets from there.
On the 100 shot you should be making 500-510 rwhp, if you keep recomended jetting...
A car with 11k miles should have very consistent compression numbers. Perhaps its the lack of any heat in the motor, but my gut feeling tells me that there was nitrous involved on the original owners part.
Waiting for the pictures to see what the plugs look like.
Lets hope I am wrong,
Russ
Sounds like the piping is collapsing under the vacum generated by the turbo's on the intake. You may want to check into this because nothing good can come out of it.
kcobean,
I have several questions for you about your car, and a few requests if you want a good analysis of whats going on.
1. Have you ever run Nitrous/supercharger/turbo charger on this car?
2. If the answer to #1 is no, then are you the original owner?
3. Have you ever run the car low on...
Re: RT/10 & GTS Mopar Race Header P5007020 - Anyone using these with more info on the
Scratch my last post, these look like long tube. Wonder who is making it for Mopar...
Have been playing with my top since the car was new and I can honestly tell you that there is nothing you can do. If you adjust the clamps, they will just get loose again.
Just do what I do, take the top off.
Ok let me set you straight here.
I did make a kit, CPE's just happens to be very similar.
Anyways this is a thread for CPE's kit, and we have derailed it enough back on topic.
Its called sarcasm, didn't say he copied it. Honestly there is only so much you can do with the space available, and we just happened to be on the same page when left with the end result.
No post about my setup because I have not made one, like I said its not for sale.
Am not a manufacturer nor do I have any plans to be one at the moment. Just something I had made for my own car because no one was making them.
But the design similarity is uncanny, perhaps its time to go to the garage and make sure my parts are still in it:smirk:.
If I didn't know any better I would swear that CPE somehow got a hold of my jigs for the manifolds. Its scary how similar they look down right to the turbo placement.
How much power are you making?
Viperless,
Yes even at that weight, it should not be much of a stretch.
One of my old cars which made an honest 600rwhp at the time with a race weight of 3400lb's ran 139mph. But it was far from a v10's power band and torque curve, so your car should be capable of doing it.
It all depends on your traction and driving ability. On drag radials your 60foot time is ok, but the 1/8 mile time is a bit slow. In a perfect world your hp should be enough for 140mph, practice makes perfect.
