    Spark plug boot heat shields

Is there some ancient Chinese secret to removing these and putting them back on? Any help would be great, thanks.

    Engine Mount Issue

I don't see how the mounts could do this unless your trans mount does not line up. Have you recently done the frame recall reinforcement? In either case a picture will be worth a thousand words.

Help me understand tuning. AFR/Boost/RPM Inside

The first thing you need to tell us is what sort of hardware you are using to measure your air/fuel. Are we talking wide band 02 sensor mounted near the motor? Are we talking factory o2 sensor with some wires spliced into it? Or are we talking a tail pipe sniffer? What are you using to read...

2000 GTS with RSI 510 motor. Bucking??

What Chris said. Do you think its possible to tune out with the factory ECU Chris? I have seen you do some magic with reprogramming the OEM ECU.

2000 GTS with RSI 510 motor. Bucking??

Almost everything can be tuned out to a point. I have seen some crazy cam cars purr like a kitten with an AEM/a few parts/and a person that knows how to put them all together tuning wise. You can get your SCT's, Vec's, etc... But remember these unit still work in the confines of the factory...

2000 GTS with RSI 510 motor. Bucking??

Get an AEM unit and hire a tuner that knows what he is doing.

    My DIY twin turbo build..

Andy, Dansauto is correct what happens on a viper is that when engine is turned off the oil drains from the heads right into the turbo's. Not sure why that is cause one would think going to the oil pan would be easier, but it happens. Your return lines are too big, remember you want the...

    My DIY twin turbo build..

Andy, From what I understand the turbo werx pump is by far the best on the market. What size restirctors did you use? What size feed/drain lines do you have? Make sure there is no leaks in the system, if you get a leak it starts to suck air into the line and that causes the oil to back up.

Brakes - Going Lightweight - Gurus inside please

Far as I know they have been discontinued, but without a doubt they make other wheels like that. The R's are a track version, they are more aggressive on the offset and a bit less weight. Give them a call they can give you more details, very knowledgeable guys.

Brakes - Going Lightweight - Gurus inside please

VR1-R's are 11x18 Front 18lb's each 13x18 Rear 19lb's each Normal VR1's are a bit heavier like 1lb each or something like that. Factory wheels are 32 and 34 maybe even a bit more. ACR wheels are 28 and 29, this just gives you an example of how much rotating mass you can save if you put...

Impact on RT Factory Spoiler on Value

Sorry guys but I cant get into the mindset of buying a car for resale 30 years down the road. You buy things to make your life more enjoyable, wondering about what someone is going to think about the mods you made.

Impact on RT Factory Spoiler on Value

Spoilers should be added for performance not resale value. Personally I think an RT is dangerous at 150+ mph without one. And you can feel the effects of the spoiler at 100.

Got a bet with a Vette and Mustang...

Viper 400-415, unless the dyno is "special" Vette 330-340 2007 is LS2 I believe 380-390 if its an LS3 Mustang 250-260.

RT vs GTS, Maybe Open Air Isn't All Its Cracked Up to Be!

GTS owners are always very insecure about the RT, have been since day 1. It seems many of you just cant stand the fact that you CANT remove your roof and enjoy the open air experience. Personally being an RT owner, love the GTS but every time I am in one as passenger or driver am always happy...

    Eagle Rods

Ellow, Any decent setup turbo viper is going to make much more torque than your Roe, not sure about the very low end but when their boost starts coming on its all torque. An AEM wont have to pull anything timing wise because unlike a piggyback unit it does not intercept anything and alter it...

    Eagle Rods

Ellow him self says the cylinder walls are being damaged by the pistons due to heat. Where do you think this extreme heat is coming from? Personally I would love to see some hi definition pictures of the engine parts like pistons/spark plugs/bearings/cylinder walls. There are very few...

    Eagle Rods

One of the vipers we just finished for another member on this board makes 830rwhp and 940torque on a completely stock motor, valve covers have never been off. Saying he drives it like he stole it would be an understatement. So I would say they are at least good for 1000hp at the crank. There...

    Eagle Rods

I tried giving you advice before you just shot me down, will try one more time hopefully this time you listen. The reason your rods are bending is not limitations of hp, there are many vipers out there making far more power than yours. The problem is detonation, it damages everything including...

What is the correct way to have your Viper towed?

Must be a flatbed and a tow hook would be nice if you don't want any damage to the car. Otherwise the only thing you can hope for is that damage is minimal, have seen several get towed and none of them have gotten away without some sort of damage if there is no tow hook
