    I have to disagree with you! I have made hundreds of passes in every type of car there is and when they get loose you lift immediately and you rarely ever have a problem. I also agree with 9 ball that it is this mistake (not lifting) that cause all these spinouts and subsequent accidents.

    This is embarassing...but

    Lots of good advice in this post, but leaving in second gear is not one of them! Don't ever leave in 2nd gear at a dragstrip if you want to drive your car home, because a couple of those and your clutch will be sitting at the starting line.

    ACR tires are not that sticky for drag racing, but a good set of BF Goodrich drag radials should hook up good with what you are looking for and can be put on with out messing with the front tires. I have seen high hp cars run 8's with drag radials and stock suspension.

    I actually have went to advanced RR schooll at Bob Bondurant last year and did pretty good and got my scca license but I haven't been able to find any time or anyone to go get some track time so I am looking forward to doing some of these events. Drag racing is fun but nothing like a road course...
