    With the Gen 4 only having been produced to the tune of about 1800 - 1900 cars, prices will hopefully level off soon. It will take a better economy and possibly the death of the car for that to happen any time soon.

    If you have spin at 3000 then why did you try 5000 rpm. Maybe I misread your post. These are hard cars to launch, too much gas and clutch release and the tires spin, too little and it will bog. 3000 sounds about right, but a slower clutch release sounds like it might help, just keep on the...

    Cant be too many Gen4 coupes left. I guess they started with what? say 867 in 08 and maybe 200 or so in 2009. Must be about 1000 left. Every other day I'm seeing one totalled out on these sites.

    Yes, where does electic come from? But as important, where do the batteries and its components come from. What about the waste at the end of their life? So many variables and when everything is taken into account, life will be no better.

    At this point I am seeing dealers discount less than a few months ago on Vipers. Being that they may not be produced again, who really knows what the company that bought Saleen would do with Viper,,, if it is them who ends up with the purchase. Saleen owners are not happy, may not bode well...

    :omg: Reuse the oil, I must take too good a care of my cars. That statement just horrifies me. Ever see the bottom of those oil catch cans, not exactly clean. Why should they be, dirty oil goes in them to be disposed of.

    Any updates. I hope a video was taken during the tear down, at least lots of pics. Fraud sucks to defend when its documented. If used parts were used and the engine is clearely not what was represented and sold with knowledge that it wasnt built as spec'ed then it is a shame to lose another...

    Yes, prices are off by 20000 from last year. That is amazing. But it was the reason I was able to get the Viper.
