I would not pay 10 cents for the factory mats! It is not just that they look and feel cheap. They slide toward the engine and bunch up there under the pedals. They are very dangerous!!! I took mine out right away after I got the car home.
Disclaimer: I bought a used '96 GTS last year, so new...
I was one of the half dozen. Definitely the best sounding Viper I've ever heard. Can't wait to see if the car can back it up and show some real power...
Those of us who attended the IL VCA meeting yesterday got a chance to see and hear the Super Viper Systems Stryker in person. What a car! See pictures below:
Janni,
I have noticed that higher classes and faster speed do NOT always go hand in hand in Viper Days. But this is the first time I have ever seen that on such a wide scale.
I just think that the points system should penalize racers based on the performance the parts offer, not on the amount...

This is the one issue I have with the Viper Days points system.
The fact that the same mods has different point values depending...
Marc,
I agree 110%. To me my Viper is too fine a car, and frankly it cost too much money, for me to leave it the garage. I really strugle to understand those who won't drive it much because it costs so much. To me that is the biggest reason for driving it as much as possible. I have only two...
Rich,
For those of us who are navigationally challenged, will this course be the sea-of-orange-cones type of course like we had in Belvidere, or the more linear type of course we had in Joliet at the Midwest Regonal?

3 years... and how many sets of rear tires Nadine?
Sorry Tony, when you write code for a living you are always on the lookout for "must have" features that the product needs so that your contract has to be renewed to implement them. Since I surf this site form work, well, I guess a little of that rubs off.
Why can't we see Email addresses for the folks who post ads in the Classifieds? Since just replying to a post makes your address public, why are they hidden in the Classifieds?
I would think that someone trying to sell something would want to make it easier for someone to contact them. Yes I...
Chuck,
I keep inviting one that would keep even Bigs happy. But if she comes she will be with her biker boyfriend, so no dice for you. I want to hear your new exhaust, it is ready to rumble?
Disclaimer, I'm still an autocross novice and have never had my Viper on a track. So this is just theory, but it's my theory and I'm sticking with it.
I plan un running Greens on the front and Reds on the rear for street and dragstrip driving. Then switch the fronts over to Yellows for track...
Re: Ripley\'s Believe It Or Not? N O T !!!
Interesting idea Jon. I remember a story about a top fuel rail drag racing an F-16 on a carrier. On the ship the jet won. Then they repeated it on the strip and the jet lost.
Home court advantage made a big difference!
Try calling Tom at BTR...
Steve,
I tried that particular strategy in the final chicane at the Midwest regional event. It was a bit quicker, but the factory guy did not seem to appreciate the smoke from the front brakes when I was done with my lap.
