Dynamic noice canceling would be feaking awsome! Imagine a dash switch to enable / disable it... Loud when you want it to be, quiet when you don't... And all at the touch of a button.
Can any of you insiders confirm this?
Am I the only one who is not happy to see someone using "hennessey" as a screen name here when he has no association with John Henessey and does not even appear to own a Viper???
Don't do it! Your computer should have good usefull information. If you clear it it will have to relearn and it does this with trail and error. Vipers run poorly for a while when the CPU gets wiped...
Steve,
You're not far from me at all. I'd be glad to get together and we can compare Vipers. What did you get? Send me an Email at [email protected]
Spring is just around the corner. Insurance goes back on mine tomorrow!
Excellent! Thanks for the update Sean. Looks like I'll have a busy weekend coming up:
silicone radiator hoses
'98+ cooling fan assembly
flush and fill coolant
smooth tubes
K&N air filters
Bill,
I have and really like my Borla cat back system. I put it on myself and I'm certainly no mechanic. I bought it used from the classified secton on this board. Last time I looked there was another one still there for around $600.
I was at the race last year and we'll be going back this year. My wife and I had a great time. A little bit of rain, but that just makes F1 more fun! First road trip with the Viper and all went well.
Our seats are right at turn 1 about 25 rows up, almost perfect. And we get to keep them year to...
I'm a pretty new owner, but I'll take a stab at some of this:
'96 to '99 differences are fairly slight. New bigger wheels on the '99, brushed aluminum trim rings inside, milder cam on the '99 that results in a different sound. Your first day with a Viper you will not notice much else...
2001...
Re: Are new replacement headers really an improvement over stock on 01\'RT?
Here is what I have heard:
Mopar "Street Headers" may flow a bit more, but their reason for existence is to save weight. All other headers exist to improve flow, how well each one does this is open to debate.
Lower...
I don't understand. You have a 6 year old vehicle with 42K miles on it and the manufacturer is willing to rebuild your engine for free, and you have a problem with that???
I can't speak for all the details Tony, but I know when it comes to my child that my instincts for protection take over completely. I think it is right thing to do to just let it happen.
Stop second guessing yourself. You will never be able to predict what would have happened if you had done...
Re: Looking at purchasing \'97 GTS
Not much difference between a '96 and a '97 GTS. Give JonB a call if you really want to know the details. Biggest difference I know of is that the stripes do not go through the rear license plate area on a '97.
BTW I only paid $52K for my '96 with 15,000 last...
Yea Baby,
I'm been following Paul Moller since he got his first vehicle off the ground almost 20 years ago. It may be the only thing I would trade my Viper for...
Jay,
Thanks for the response. That is what we all needed, real information and a solution in the works. I was very serious when I offered to help. If you realy have "a LOT OF WORK", send me an Email and let me know how I can help. I'm no web-head, but software paid for my Viper...
Steve,
I found the previous owners of my car from a car-fax type search my dealer did. I don't think they should have let me see the names and addresses, but it happened...
