I ran my OEM MXX3's for 21,000 miles. Rears were completely bald. Stupid and unsafe! Much better traction now with newer rubber. I also noticed that the insides were more worn than the outsides. I plan to have it aligned soon...

I am one of those who strongly prefers Turbos or Superchargers over nitrous. Of course my Viper is still NA so what do I know...

It is a side effect of the V-10. It simply does not sound like a V-8. It even suffers a bit when compared to a V-12 because there are an odd number of cylinders on each side.
Once you get it loud enough I love the sound. You are correct that it does not sound like the million V-8's...
