One version of the ORECA fronts that we sell.
You can have it wide or narrow, you can have it with or with out central lights, you can have it in Fibreglass or CF.
I'm sure you can get more out of that combo. My Gen1 did 11.80/120mph with stock engine, Belanger Headers and 3" exhaust... So with your mods and a decent 60 foot will you probably be in the mid 11 and trap/123mph
One of my Vipers (Gen1) pulls more then 700 at the crank, Et is usually 10.70/130.
Ab Realy nice job with your car, I remember your initial posts on the forum :-)
Btw, the 2015 pump flow less but will allow you to go higher in fuel pressure, I use it in one of mine Vipers, need it to be able to run 110psi fuel pressure.
Russ, as it looks now will we use a 10-tbo design but without 10 butterflyes. Run the 10-tbos up in to a plenum to wich we have the two stock tbos connected.
Stock tbos flow enough for about 1000Hp. The challenge was to get the stock valvesize and a stock CC intake runner to flow enough... You...
The VEC2 and a AEM unit can't be compared. The VEC is a gadget that manipulate the stock ECU (been using it for years) Good enough in most aplications. The AEM is a system that replaces the stock ECU and let you take controll over the engine.
Here is a picture that shows how the Cage is integrated with the frame structure. The block is just a mock up do decide how to cut the mid and front engine plates.
The fastest NA stroker is in the low 9:s.
I have the best Chassie builder, Phil Mandella. (Chassie it self will net more then people understand) We have one realy experienced Endurance Viper Engine builders, a very experienced head guy, that combined with that we do ONLY Dragracing will put us...
I don't know what unit we will use, as I understand is the difference that the "Viper" unit hooks up to the stock Harness and what you call the "Race" unit has to be adapted to the Vehicle.
We don't use any of the stock harness so I guess we will go with what is lightest :-)
I'm more...
Russ, we are not allowed to use traction control...I have a Mark Williams Ford 9" and 33"x14.5 inch slicks in the rear to help my traction issues.
The AEM unit does not allow more then 4 EGTS, so we are building our own adapter that allow us to used 10 EGTS and log the data through the AEM ECM.
I have decided to go with AEM:s complete product line to my Super Stock Viper project. I'm curious to know if any one have experience from their products, and if there is anything I should be aware of?
I will use:
-2 pcs wideband UEGO units, one to each cylinder bank.
-10 pcs EGT probes complete...
When you put the inner wheel well back again is it easiest if you heat it up a bit, then the plastic will bend and twist easier. (Wich is needed to get it in place)
The block, the heads, the camshaft, the exhaust is different. The whole engine is lighter. Dry liners instead of wet liners.
A Gen1 engine usually gives more torque/HP then a Gen2 engine.
A Gen 1 Viper is the tru Viper, A Gen 2 Viper is a better Car. A Gen 3 works ok as daly driver :-)
