    05 SRT hesitation

Try Autolite XP985 Xtream Performance Plugs. Do not re-gap them and make sure you torque them to 20 ft/lbs (27 Nm) properly. :drive:

    Wheel hop.......

Change out the motor mounts and transmission mount for harder ones and your problem will be gone. You do not need to go to the expense of Moton Shocks unless you want to. I have no wheel hop in my 2003 after changing the motor mounts and transmission mount running my tires at 34 psi, front and...

    05 SRT hesitation

Bad fuel guys from sitting all winter. Check my other post about what is called phase separation in the new fuel we are forced to use these days. I drive in 5Th and never use 6Th. I get 23 mpg at 80-85 mph on the highway. Try using CRC Octane Boost part number 06067.

A bit of a dumb move - gas cap

You can also reset the light by disconnecting the + cable under the hood on the fuse box and pumping the brake pedal a few times to remove any excess voltage in the system. Hook it back up and use your key to unlock the door and start the car. On another note gas caps are notorious for going bad...

    Stock '04 Exhaust Question

Save it. always save your stock parts. When you sell the viper the new owner will want the factory parts and you never know what new government regulations will come down the pike that require you to have stock parts on the viper for an annual inspection.

    Lost Power

Put the crossover back on your viper and install the wires. You will not believe the difference. I run the same magnacore wires. They can be changed without removing the manifold if you have small hands and fingers but it is easier to just remove the manifold. It is not a big job. But to get...

    cabin heat

Yes, in part, as it does make the exhaust sound better. but it also evens out the exhaust pulses of the odd firring engine. On my 2003 SRT-10 I run RT Cats, AtRo Racing Exhausts with the exhaust & crossover wrapped with heat tape, and I have insulated the cabin. People at Pocono Speedway have...

Cold air intake advice needed !!!

No they are not open on the ends. The ends are made of metal and polished to a chrome look. A local speed shop, B & B Performance, has a machine that measures the flow rates of different air filters. They have a paper Fram filter, a K & N filter, and a Green Filter. The Green Filter pulled the...

A Tale of Two Filters (lotsa pics)

To answer your question about the holes in the upper and lower air box we solved this problem by installing thick closed cell foam PSA tape along the inside lip of the upper and lower air box cover where the cover meets the smooth tube in the middle. We also add foam to the outside of the upper...

Cold air intake advice needed !!!

We have Green Filters available that will replace the filters that come in your K & N Filterer kit. These filters are NOT the same as the Green Filters that replace the OEM filters on an OEM air box.

    Car won't start?

Yes, Andrew, Generation 3 vipers can be push started. To the rest of you guys, viper starters draw a ton of amperage and most of the jumper cables that you buy ion discount stores do not have heavy enough wire or clamps to handle that amperage. For years I have purchased heavy duty clamps at...

    Gen 3 oil change tips

Hi Can you post the DC Bulletin that states that 2003 vipers are to change from 10w-30 to 0-40 oil. I have not seen this anywhere and would like to see it in writing on DC paperwork. I am not doubting your word. I just want to be on the same side. Alldata stills calls for 10w-30 2003...

    four wheel alignment

Sorry I did not get back to you sooner. Balancing the wheels and tires will not make any difference on the alignment lift. New wheels and tires need to be balanced or they will, IMHO, change your alignment angles as you drive down the road and cause an unsafe condition. This is caused by...
