    Wish List

That's 3. :crazy2: For me, it has to be killer looks. I want it to say, "Hello Nasty!". I think the power is sufficient for any road use.

2013 Gen V picture on Leftlanenews

The Viper V seems busy but the lines do not connect or flow well from the front or side views. I can't speak for the rear. The Aventador J seems very busy too but all the lines flow perfectly. Lamborghini design has always been edgy and the lines fit in with that edginess. The Viper V seems...

My comments in red. And how about this for unobtanium design. That's what I call beautiful design.

    Accident...

Front end damage (hood, bumper, frame) to a 98 WILL TOTAL it. It's hard to imagine otherwise. Here's a price list: Hood $13,700 Bumper $1,600 Control arm $560 That itself works out to about $16K. Factor in paint and labor and you get into the mid 20s, around 25K. A '98 is probably worth around...

    Assembly manual ???

It's there all right. But it's full of 0's and 1's now. I think it's for the robots. :lmao: But seriously, that would be great to know how to shim a headlight. :omg:

high quality rendering found. (spoiler alert?)

I lost my faith in Ralph's designing after the Gen III/IV. Seeing all the spy photos, I am so disappointed. :crazy2: After the Fiat buyout, I was hoping for a sexier car with design assistance from Ferrari but it looks like we are giving them our ugly with the Ferrari FF. :lmao: At least the...

*FOUND* 2013 SRT Viper Hot Wheel diecast pics! (rear end!)

I don't like the leaked Gen V images. They all seem like a fusion of Gen II with the IV and lack clean lines. From a design viewpoint, I think it's a failure. And there's still pricing and performance that's unknown although I have no doubts about stellar performance. I was excited to visit...

What are you expecting to see tonight in the "teaser" pic?

I wanted a timeless look and that means curves, not edges. Looking at that silhouette, I'm feeling some disappointment. The roof line shows edges not curves. It's almost a given that the side profile will have edges. I'm glad I didn't stay up because I have that sinking feeling again.

    Slow battery drain 1997 GTS

My 97 GTS has always had a parasitic drain. I just put it on a battery tender and/or change my battery under full warranty every 3 years. 2 weeks parked in cold weather will kill it, 3-4 weeks in summer.

Vipers Suck... Here's 19 Reasons Why

C'mon guys, don't be so hard on this guy. He's got some truth to it. The doors sag, there's no dead pedal, the AC and heater are just plain weird, car gets' hot on the floor and tunnel. I'll add some more for him. The hatch hinge comes unglued, fuel filler cover corrodes, battery dies without...

    Not a happy Camper....

Unfortunately the Viper's bodywork is nothing to take pride in. Sagging and popping doors, scuffed weatherstrip, Hatchback latch and hinge failures, body parts that do not align easily, etc. It is all quite annoying to have these kind of issues with a once flagship vehicle.

    Just Wrecked My Dream Car

Glad you are ok. It's that time of the year when we hear a spike in accidents. Wet weather, cold tires, leaves; all thrown in together. I know these weren't the causes here but be careful out there. Practice your emergency braking on these non-ABS models.

12 year old GTS-R still on the pace, photos!

Fantastic! I so long for the days when Viper would head back to LeMans in the big league. I was there in 98 with the VCA and it was a memory like no other. If I had the moolah, a GTS-R would be in my living room. Thanks for the photos Nadine.

Chrysler Management Changes: Ralph Assumes head of SRT and Motorsports !

It's just branding. Putting the name SRT on my Viper or another Chrysler vehicle doesn't change it. It's all hogwash. Seems like a lateral move designed to keep people happy, if you ask me. I guess the answer will be in the future lineup.

How the hell do you push the piston back in when changing e-brake pads?

Pointy ends of a strong nose pliers in the 2 holes and you just screw it in. Alternatively, you could buy the specific tool for the job - Retractor (Brake Caliper Piston) Miller Part# 6366, if you can find one.

    Failed emissions in MA

Technically, you should be able to get a variance for existing equipment that passed inspection after purchase. You might have a case with the DMV.

    Who's is this?

I love the black pinstripes. Another interesting combination I've seen was red pinstripes on a blue-white GTS. Absolutely great and on my to-do list for a while.

    Garage question

Now that would be a problem. A Viper tech that can't figure out the amount of oil is not worth going to. I would take the Viper to any local garage that would let you watch. Take the proper amount of oil too.
