is there a template that i can use to modify my windage tray? Is it that hard to do? with the rest of the car needing prep im on a budget and if i can do it myself, its all the bettter(and cheaper of course)
Thanks Joe!
i think i'l take it... is it shipping from the UK? might be a bit steep to ship to NC, USA?......can i get just the windage tray seperate? do i NEED the windage tray?
thanks!
is that just the windage tray or does that include the baffles?
Thanks Janni, if the 96 pan is the same as the 98 i may "borrow" your 96 so i can modify that one and then return my 98 to you.....
So all i need is Joe's kit?
new/used, prefer cheap! and of course shipped quickly, Janni has me all freaked out about the oil starvation. The whole stage 2 setup from partsrack is out of my pricerange for now.
hmmm ok...........you dont have a windage tray and the baffles for a 98 you want to sell laying around your garage full o' VIper parts do you? :-D
I am trying to order the parts but i am on a limited budget, so if you know anyone with that stuff for sale......i'll probably have to hold off...
Not sure, only OVal Hybrind ive been on is the rock, the rest are dedicated road courses.......
So does that mean you suspect i'll have issues? ;-)
Thanks for your help BTW.
To shave....or not to shave................V700\'s that is
Anyone NOT shave them on dry track conditions, do they really wear that badly? I have always shaved them, but seems like youre wasting a lot of tread life
Need a front set of V700\'s quick and cheap!
HOw long does it normally take for Partsrack to ship them? or do they drop ship from Tirerack?
Also Stock GenI rims...will they hold a 315 front tire?
Also, to shave or not to shave, has anyone NOT haved them on dry track? do they really wear that...
the vibration you feel is the pad material getting SMEARED on your rotors, when the pads heat up quickly the material has a tendancy to melt slightly and leave residue on your rotors, after a couple hundred miles of driving with normal pads it should wear off...... or you can sand or resurface...
Janni, is the oil starvation a problem for left hand sweepers or right, or both? i do plan to do the oil pan setup, but dont think I can get it done before next weekend.
"the rock" road course is mostly left handed turns.....think i'll be ok?
you typically brake into a turn, transferring weight to the front wheels, HOPEFULLY by mid turn you can accelerating out of the turn, transferring some of that weigh back to the rear tires to maintain traction to the rear wheels and in turn keeping the rear tires from going in front of the...
heres one, doesnt show the whole gauge, but you can see where is says 40 to the left. http://www.extremespeedonline.com/gallery/view_photo.php?full=1&set_albumName=album29&id=IM003071
you are correct sir, which is why i said just a notch or two to start and dial as needed depnding on your driving style. Me, i like more a bit more oversteer than most, its hell on tires but its much more fun!! but not something I would suggest for the average track newbie.
ummmmm, no not yet! eek, think it'll be an issume i assume? hmmmmmmm
Its on the list to do, but funds are tight with the other stuff i had/have to do.....like having a baby! :-D
Anyone have a cheap/used oil baffle/pan kit i can get before next weekend? :-D?
are you referring to where ytou rub while getting in and out of the car?
You can buy a replacement back for the seat for like 400-500 bucks, seems like a lot, but in the overall big picture, its not to bad i guess!
i had an audiovox prestige pager Alarm...worked great no issues and i loved the little LCD display that tells you if the shock sensor, doors trunk or if it was attempted to start.
The key to a good alarm is not really the alarm itself but the installer. good friend of mine owned a stereo shop...
