I prefer to keep my motor N but, I wouldn't mind a shot or two of nitrous. I stood off with a z06 last Wed night and he had a shot of it. I ran 11.72 he ran 11.6 fun but, I was the loser. His car with nitrous is just faster. Is this stuff safe or is it just a matter of time. Who around in N...
One thing that really surprises me is the smile I get on my face when I throttle up. I changed my hoops to the Autoform Roll Bar. Still the thought of a roll over has me wondering if my head wouldn't cushing the bar.
Mykes right on having a hand to get it in and out of the car. It's really not hard to do just takes some time. I remember that I had use a drill with a narrow head to drill a couple holes. I think it took the weekend for me but I also insulated the floor and behind the seats. Makes the car more...
Tom take it to the track and try it out. I have a DC Performance tune computer tune that is. A K&N filter and Corsa, a a ported intake with a BBK throttle body. 1.7 seconds 60' 11.7 @118 mph 1/4 mile
interesting that you got the cam amd crank codes as well but, it was just not as tight as it should have been and as many wires that go into that plug who knows where they all go.
Thats exactly what I did. good fuel ( chevron) no vacuum leaks new plugs and Magnacor wires. It does not happen on the track. In my earlier post the pcm cable seemed a bit loose. Seems ok now.
yes I have changed the mounts and the clutch but, I don't think that was the problem. I see the clip latch is cracked. From what I can see it is neary impossibe to replace so I am going to make some type of bracket that will keep light pressure on it.
Well I finally got this code thing figured out.... I found the plug on the PCM closest to the steering wheel slightly ajar. I noticed that the clip is snapped so it must have vibrated loose. Not enough to come out but I think this may have been the issue with my P0300 code. Since I pushed it...
P0300 is the code Multi misfire 2004 srt I did change the plugs and it seems a longer period between the code but it did reappear. I have good wires that I bought form you Magnacor and they seem to be in perfect shape. Is there a way to check sensors? The car seems to run fine and my tech told...
The latest on the P0300 code... I changed the plugs, checked my Magnacor wires and they seemed good only on the car for a couple of years. I drove to the track and no light I made one pass on the strip and drove home a couple hours later. On the way home the light came on. (bummed) I cleared the...
Just a heads up here. Be careful with the tinted ones. The lights seem to run much hotter and crack the lenses. Happened to me and can't just replace the lenses.
The code is P0300 code on an my 04. The car does not change in performance but it is getting a multi misfire code. I got the code twice yesterday on the way to the track driving normal and comming home from the track. It does not seem to change the performance of the car but I would like to know...
I think the only down side to the 3.73 gears are they run hotter on long trips but a cooler would take care of that. I am actually thinking of doing another rearend. I would like to get a gear right between 3.55 and 3.73 for my gen 3 it would be perfect to max my rpm in 4th gear in the 1/4 mile
I had both the 3.73 was my favorite. Hot rod gear for sure. Fun Fun Fun ... The 3.55 is not far behind but not as quick from the starting line. The reason I went from the 3.73 to the 3.55 is the 1/4 mile the 3.73 in 4th gear was done before the 1/4 The 3.55 put out a better time due to the fact...
