one other thought you may want to install a Predator shift light/launch light so have the dealer give you a lead of one of the coils that you can connect to later on.
I think Dan at DC could tell you. He dynoed it and tuned it. I personally saw this build and it was well thought out and only the very best of parts right down to the keepers..
Twist don't you have the rev limit set for your car? I hit the redline from time to time but, the code is usually multi cylinder misfire. I hope it's not serious on any count
I am assuming it's either an 04 or 03 SRT10 Those half shafts are hollow and also have a shear point cut into them. They break at this point every time. Dodge made some changes later in 06 and made the axles solid. I don't know how the new ones are rated but, I can tell you the hollow shafts are...
Take your foot off the throttle. There's surely a lot more to wheel hop than the normal get on it and go....... Your right suspension plays a big part, the motor and tranny mounts as well, but I think practice like you say is a big factor. Independent axles are tough at best.
You got to slide around the corners. :drive: It's just clutches but, I hear you. Still I think the best and most durable Diffenential for the Viper. Ran 11.606 Left the line at 3k full twind disk clutch release no wheel spin no wheel hop just color me gone. 1.67 60' on M&H drag radials after a...
If you want bullet proof get and OS Giken from Unitrax. Also upgrade the half shafts the earlier axles are hollow (like pipe) shafts with a shear point designed into them. The newer ones are solid. You will feel the difference.
I like these products. The detail spray I think is the best. I order it by the gallon. I nearly never wash my car I just use this spray and good micro fiber rags.
Ran the clutch hard last night at the Infineon Dragstrip. First time out running hard. My first run was way out of sync. With the new clutch since it grabs at a different point (higher). The nice thing was the strip was not even crowded and I got several test runs in. This clutch is deadly off...
Wheel hop is a problem. Get a OS Giken Diff. poly mounts, some 18" drag radials, a line lock and practice. I find that unloading the clutch can sometimes cause the rear wheels to hop. I like to get it going at about 2k rpm and then let out the clutch and throttle up without spinning the tires.
Official Dodge Viper Extended Service Contracts from Chrysler As far as I am concerned buying a extended warranty from a dealer is a expensive investment. This is the one I bought aftermarket from chrysler. So far they have replaced with no charge my rear axle, several leaking hoses, new power...
