Nice run for sure but you wont reach 10.7 with a 60' time of 1.742 you will need to get that down to 1.5. area. That's the hard part with these cars. That bite usually breaks something.
Well I ran a fairly stock motor. Just a few minor things that really didnt do much. The best was Dan Cragin computer tune, but even that didn't do a lot but it did cut a couple hundreds off my time. I ran later model half shafts since the stock 04 shafts were hollow shafts and had a sheer grove...
I have run M & H drag radials with these 18psi never an issue 11.55 @123 I did finally gave up on the Viper as a drag car. It just is not built for the strip. I now run a 68 roadrunner. I do like what your doing. I have front runners on my Roadrunner 4.5" x 15 DS 2
I run a triple disk clutch from BBG no issues also run OS Giken diff I broke both half shafts and a output shaft on the diff at different times. Your race you break its simple theory. These cars were not really designed for hard launches.
Paul thanks for the information. I need to do something here in the near future regarding shocks. What I have been doing is bracket racing here in Sonoma. The issues I have is not transfering the weight properly to the rear tires and releasing the front to rise= some bad wheel hop. I have been...
I have to say that after using three different diff gears 307, 354, and the 373 I like the 354 the best for drivability. Easy on the fot in traffic for sure. I have drag raced and I think the 3:54 out performs the other two. The 373 is a really fun gear because the kick out of first gear is...

Todd has some of the best parts that even go beyond normal thinking. Todd and I have been good friends for several years. We met at a Sunday Car show and immediately became friends because that's just how he is. The rack in the picture with your car on it is now a dyno station I just was...
It might be possible to get with that setup, but you will need a better suspension front and back to get the car to get into the asphalt. It will run you about 4k. I run 11:55 with no headers, head work, stock cam, the only thing I have is a ported intake and an old Dan Cragin tune 91 octane...
I was thinking of getting a set of Hoosiers, but decided to wait for M&H 345/35/18 which were toast on my last run last week, but nothing is available until mid Nov. My season is over for now. I want to get some 2way adjustable shocks so I can get this car to sit down off the line. There all big...
I agree on the 3:73 although I really enjoyed that gear. It really isn't a good drag gear as it requires an additional shift at the end of the 1/4. I thought it was pretty easy to handle for regular driving much improved over the stock gear. I now run the 3:55 with an OS Giken Diff and it seems...
I am not sure what the weather plays into these cars with all the computer adjustments that the sensors make. I have tried to figure out the weather thing for years on my car and it seems so many other parts of the drag race come into play other than the weather. I had the weather station...
I completely agree with you you but not available at Sonoma. I love the practice session before the dial in. You just got to run what they offer. Still fun win or lose. Looking forward to the Oct 16 match races with vettes and Vipers.
