    Challenger Hellcat gets 707HP!

Hellcat can only help Viper sales and values. Broader marketing will get more serious enthusiasts into the Dodge dealers where they'll find two very appealing and different cars to choose from instead of to Chev dealers to focus on the Camaro and Vette. And if Motor Trend ever tests a...

    next car purchase...

I hope there will be another Viper in your future! If you plan to do lapping days, or find headroom a bit tight in the SRT, try a TA on for size. It's a very fine road car despite it's tweaks for the track, and may fit your budget if you can look and wait a bit.

Made the Leap to a Gen V took it to the track

You likely won't be driving the fastest car or be the most skilled driver even if you are turning the quickest lap time on a particular day. If you let yourself start to think otherwise puts you and your car at risk. What you can be certain of is that you're driving one of the fastest "stock...

The Spousal Report...10 days touring and tracking the Viper TA

Day 3 We set out for VIR this morning, meeting up with our friends in Buena Vista, Virginia. Travelling along Hwy 60 over the mountains was a thrill in itself. A bit unnerving at first with all the twists and banked turns along side a very, very steep cliff, but once we slowed down a bit it...

Thanks, Paul, and that's exactly where I put the helmet and suit bag as shown in the pictures (link fixed)

The Spousal Report...10 days touring and tracking the Viper TA

Bruce has suggested I post a blog from "the wife's" perspective so that all you guys out there can share this with your "significant other" if you would like. Our trip is going to take us from Toronto, Ontario Canada to Donegal, Pennsylvana to see Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater home and tour...

Track day at Virginia International Raceway Jun 25-26/14 with Chin Motorsports

Reminder about this event this week. There's going to be a Few Good Vipers there, with 3 Competition Coupes, an ACR, and a brilliantly driven TA :) Spectators welcome, and you might even score a ride!

    Hellcat in viper

I disagree completely. Auto manufacturers push what's best for them and if a DCT makes their race car offering faster in testing then that's it. If GT3 Porsche is faster with DCT and they stop offering a manual then all the buyers who have loved the manual in their past GT3's are just as happy...

Very close to becoming a part of the Viper nation. Need forum input

I find the steering, clutch and suspension great for a car of this performance, but no car suits everybody. You were able to drive one and realize you're not suited to the car, and can now focus on finding a better fit. I drove a C7 and it would be a better fit in the areas you mentioned...

Massive GM Recall = One Good Reason to get a Viper instead of a Vette

All we need is about one hour's worth of C7 buyers to switch in order to clear every last '13/14 Viper off the lots!

Massive GM Recall = One Good Reason to get a Viper instead of a Vette

Mass production, low cost materials, average quality build, poor quality control. I'm sure you get what you pay for but the marketing hype makes you think otherwise...and led you to ask your question;)

You're right on. And I would have never believed this car could be a DD before driving mine. A prospective buyer whose sat in one and thought about it a little already knows that he or she will have the challenges of a lot of attention, rather awkward in and outs, limited visibility, can't...

    gen v resale value

This will be the case, and what the OP isn't accounting for. I would expect any lightly optioned SRT and GTS, and the TA, to experience much less than the average depreciation for a new car. Once the older inventory makes its way through the system the deep discounting will end, new car...

Viper TA Track Attack #5, Mosport 6-11-14…seat time really pays off!

That was on the Grand West course configuration, while I'll be running the Full Course. It'll be very interesting to see how the TA did in the Lightning Lap as the ZR1 did that track in 2:45. The near identical Laguna Seca result would suggest the TA could be about the same, but different...

Viper TA Track Attack #5, Mosport 6-11-14…seat time really pays off!

Thanks, and that's stupid fast...I hope that driver comes back with a TA to provide you with a meaningful comparison :) My guess is he had a lot of seat time in that ACR and knew that track very well. Now that you've thrown that time out there I can't promise that I'll even be discussing my...

Viper TA Track Attack #5, Mosport 6-11-14…seat time really pays off!

Good attitude to have because you won't want a well-driven Civic hounding you around every corner while you're trying to learn! Windows down is pretty much a universal requirement as passing signals are usually given with arm out the window, and to facilitate a quick emergency extraction from...

Viper TA Track Attack #5, Mosport 6-11-14…seat time really pays off!

Hey Bryan, Thanks, and yes it is a dashcam, and windows down always...Ojocam Mini 801 Pro cam with GPS. I'm working on improving the sound quality for these conditions. I plan to start data logging sessions when I get back from VIR. Do you track your TA...I can highly recommend Watkin's...

Viper TA Track Attack #5, Mosport 6-11-14…seat time really pays off!

It amazes me how much lap time can be shed with so little extra seat time in this car. I’ve been dropping about 4 seconds a lap each day at the track with little effort…just more familiarity coupled with a decent skill level. Yesterday’s lap time of 1:34 is quite significant for a bone stock...

    Blind spot

Mine has me bracing for impact with the gasp that precedes "Bruce!!!". We drove in pretty busy Toronto highway traffic on Saturday, and it was hard on both of us. I avoid Toronto traffic like the plague, feeling much safer running flat out on the track where everyone is competent. The car is...
