I have had this exact proble and there was a good discussion about it. Call Dan Craigen at DC performance he knows exactly what it is and how to properly rectify it.
Do a search on my user name PhilC and use "air cleaners" as the search text and use all posts, it should come up.
I...
Re: proracer1\'s Roe s/c dyno chart
I agree that by definition the two curves must cross at 5252, but can anyone explain what might be the cause of so many dyno curves failing to empirically display that fact.
Viper SRT and Gavin. Your points are well taken and I appreciate your help.
Dan Craigen, I left a message for you at your office please call me at your earliest convenience, I would like to speak with you regarding whatever remedies you referenced earlier in this thread.

Thanks everybody, that was definately the problem. Sorry I was operating under the wrong impression that the filters would be the telling tale.
Now I need to get a couple of those breathers I can connect directly to the valve covers.
Phil
Hoosier Daddy, you're absolutely right. I was just coming in to post that mine vents into the box behind the filter and that the oil can be getting sucked through the throttle body without ever touching the air filters. Thanks, I'm going back out to chech the smooth tube.
Phil
Well, unfortunately I'm back fro more help on this one. Took the air cleaners out and they are perfectly clean (both of them). I did notice that the tube coming from the pass side valve cover had come disconnected from the connector where they join and then go to the air cleaner. I dont...
Thanks everyone for your input. I will be happy (and feel stupid) if it does turn out to be the one thing that I was aware of. If it isn't, I'll be back to try and pick your brains for more ideas.

Dean:
Thanks for the reply. I didn't quite understand where to look. Is there an additioanl filter other than the K & N's in the air box I've never noticed. I'd love it if this problem were that easy to fix (just a puke can between the valve cover and the airbox right). I am at work so...
Under extremely hard braking (ie coming off back straight at Pocono into the infield) The car is bogging down once back into the throttle and then blowing clouds of smoke (oil) out of the exhaust.
I've read the threads about oil getting forward of the valve covers and then blowing through...
Great, consider it a done deal. Why dont you email me a way to contact you directly so we can pin down the particulars.
BTW I'm not stock, this has been discussed in previous post. I dont have any serious power adders (no nos, sc, or turbos. Stock bottom end) I will use et streets and we...
You said the guy runs low 12's with slicks. I'll have no trouble with 11.1 or 11.2 with slicks. that's 10 lengths so if you want to take the bet at 5 lengths I'd be happy to take your money. I'll be in Chicago sometime this summer, lets try and put it together. I'm sure we could find a...
The Viper is clearly the better car to have for many reasons but you should definitely keep in mind that everything for the Viper costs multiple times what it should just because it's for a Viper (commonly known as the Viper tax). Keep in line with your budget, you cant go wrong with either car...
I am slightly modded but so were they. I haven't street raced any so perhaps from a roll it might be a bit different but I wouldn't imagine the outcome to be drastically changed
I dont know what you zo6 guys are talking about. I completely trash every zo6 I've raced so far at Englishtown by at least 10+ car lengths. There is no comparison period.
Does anybody ever drive to the track with their et streets and skinnies. If so, any ill effects? If not, I imagine there's a reason, what is it? Thanks in advance.
