    To Quiet

This is an awfully quiet group ... everyone putting their snakes into hibernation for the winter? any thoughts on the use of tire cradles or flatstoppers? For me, I'm just waiting for mine to come back from the body shop, should have it in time to stow it for the winter

    Looking into Viper ownership

Good Luck on your CCIE ... had mine for almost 10 years now. After you complete that we'll get you started on your Juniper certs :-) As for car insurance, mine actually went down after shopping around .... I had suspected that I was overpaying previously but was way surprised by how much I was...

Hate to take my car to dealer for service!!!!!!!

Wow, that is some poor service ... the last time I took my viper in the tech was asking for the keys before I exited the car to let them know I was there. It was also interesting in that there were about 10 people in the waiting area when I arrived. A viper should have its privileges

    Damn Statistics ....

At least from my searches, it doesn't appear that Dave Big Brake kits fit the Gen 1 Viper. It appears that Tom's 40mm upgrade may be the right choice. May have to make a trip to Tator's

    Damn Statistics ....

Actually, I believe the guy in front stopped to admire the car rapidly approaching behind him...typically in such circumstance if I were seeing someone behind me approaching quickly I would free up some space instead of a hard stop ... he admitted to admiring my car while slamming the brakes...

    Damn Statistics ....

Ok, so having received shipment of my '94 Red RT/10 on Sept 21st, I will say that it does not look good for my little redhead. For some reason everyone felt the need to look at a truck stopped on the side of the highway, to the point of stopping to see what the truck was doing ... unfortunately...

Keeping new Viper owners SAFE - a How To:

Interesting thing here is that you don't need a Viper to cause a fatal crash. Just found out that one of my friends from college was killed over the weekend on I-95 in PA. Wet roads, high rate of speed, rapid lane changes in a lancer. While my friend wasn't the driver, the consequences were...

    Gen 1 dash removal instructions

That does look nice .... great job The only thing that might be a problem is sun glare with the shine on that dash. I've considered doing brushed aluminum, but probably won't due to sun glare off the dash

Rear Window rubber old and cracked ...

Looks like Edge Grip Rubber Seals should do the trick ... have to take the window out and measure it McMaster-Carr

    Transport recommendation

Mine was just shipped from TX to PA using DeMoise Trk-Ing ... Driver was excellent, called when he picked up the Viper, gave me his cell #, let me know when he would be here...first rate in my opinion (This is the first time I shipped a car so not sure what others are like) DeMoise Trk-ing...

One of my first good pictures of the new RT/10 Was debating if I was going to take it out today, gray clouds and some early sprinkles ... but decided that it can't just sit in the garage So does the feeling that once you're on the road that some alert goes off in all police headquarters...

video of my engine finnaly running

Sounds pretty nice, any idea what performance increase you get out of the setup? BTW, camera needs to not move so quickly .... pan slow and hold a scene longer than you think you need to

Viper is not an exotic? check this out!!!

I have to concur with the others here .... doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. As a short story, I used to be a Ferrari fan ... always wanted one, knew all the past cars, all the specs, etc. Then one day my wife rented me a Viper and that was the last time I thought about ever getting a...

91 Versus 93 Octane on stock Gen IV's

Back in my college days, one of my friends was doing work for a major oil company. His testing was to find out if there was a MPG increase using higher octane fuel....obviously the company wanted to sell more higher octane fuel and this would be a good reason to push it on people...

    Stripes

Yep, just on the top ... it comes down to could and should. I certainly could do it ... the top is probably far enough away that I don't have to line up exactly, and it is probably only about 3 feet total distance, but I've got a total of 6 stripes (2 wides - each wide is bordered by a...

    Stripes

Howdy, Just got my 94 Red RT/10 and ordered one of Jeff's 3 piece tops. The car has a nice vinyl striping job on it that I'll have to match on the new top. Any recommendation on where to get this done in eastern PA? Thanks, Victor

    Viper Rental

Renee77, Be careful with that .... my wife rented me a 2001 Yellow RT/10 for my 35th birthday. A few years later, and now there is a 1994 Red RT/10 parked in my garage, and I expect it to be there a long time...with the occasional trip out of course :-)

Thanks Leslie ... but why would you want the keys to my Altima when you already have a kickin Viper? I'm doing quite fine adding up the miles already .... but perhaps someday you can show me how it drives on a track Oh, today's update ... ordered 3 piece hardtop and windows from Jeff

Thanks everyone Passed inspection fine, tires are new. Viper Tech suggested fluid changes .... had to cut the test drive short tonight as there was lightning in the distance ... didn't want to get caught in the rain with no top.

The exceptionally low mileage had me a bit concerned. I calculated it out to be around 600 miles per year over it's life.....I could do that in a day, so not sure what the previous owners were thinking....if you got it, drive it So far, all is good .... I'll just have to get one of those 3...

Howdy, Had my 1994 Red RT/10 delivered yesterday (all of 9000 miles on it), got it registered in PA & Tags today. Going for state inspection tomorrow Of course, with so few miles felt I had to make sure the engine worked in all gears tonight :) Attached is a pic (if I get...
