Ditto!! Not only great for HPS applications, but very clean (which is the main reason I went with them). My other choice was Carbon Metallic, but they didn't have an app for my '01.
Label me off-the-deep-end, but I prefer to keep trim items looking cosmetically stock & boring. No chrome knobs, CF bezels, or replacement ash trays for me. Ater too much thought, I did spring for a pair of red/black checkered coco mats though:crazy:.
Well it started with pulling the door speaker grill to remove rust (from my sweaty leg resting against it) and repaint. Now I want to upgrade both door speakers while I'm at it (nothing wrong with them). I think my speakers are 6"; are Gen2's different in this respect than Gen1's? I guess the...
Great idea for someone who's pulley can be pulled off . . . I used the same NAPA puller at home and it didn't work without cutting a relief slot in the hub. The NAPA tech couldn't make the puller work any better than I did if I had taken it there. Also, I wouldn't trust any tech not to...
Thanks to the warnings here, I put the IPSCO bracket and pulley on this weekend. There were no signs of stress cracking on the 9,200 mile OEM pulley (or bracktet) before the R&R, but there sure were when I was done! That bugger would not come off with the circumferential puller, so I sawed the...
Challengers are very prone to hop. The 'Hop Not' kit mod is a popular route to eliiminate the issue. Adds a horizontally mounted shock to each side of the rear suspension. Maybe a solution for the Viper that could be a development opportunity for a vendor here...
If you don't care about the code, you might be able to clear it by R&Ring the ECU/ECM fuse . . . others will correct me if I'm wrong. This will also reset all the adaptives (which is not a bad thing to do once in awhile).
I have the mini Powerball and it works well for the areas it can reach. It is a bit messier though. If I had uncoated aluminum wheels, it would be the ticket though. I do like the uncoated look, but they have a very high maintenance tax!
Yes I have. What I found was these are for very light duty as the felt is simply screwed on. Anything other than light pressure will cause the felt to strip and the shaft just spins in the felt wheel/cone.
What is the additive ratio? I've looked through the service manual and can't seem to find the diff capacity. I'm doing a top off, so I need to premix the slip additive.
Was R&Ring brake pads and hoses yesterday and noticed diff lube had been thrown onto the exhaust pipes and underbody:omg:. The diff itself was squeaky clean, but oil was visible on the yoke/U-joint. No dripping or garage floor spotting whatsoever (note to others: get under the rear end every now...
Why would Dodge design it this way? Is this a typical arrangement for performance vehicles? I'd rather have (and physics would support) a front and rear brake rather than two rears.
Modern cars have diagonally isolated brake lines so if one line fails (ruptures) you still have the other half. While this does cut your braking ability in half, you still have some pedal to work with. You say you had zero brakes, so there must be something else going on in addition to the...
