It's a street serpent by Jeff Lemke. All body panels except for the doors are replaced. The body is 2 inches wider than stock. It also adds the coupe rear to the convertible. I love this car!
I found this thread surprising first because L/C is an option is not like you have to use it if you don't want to. The driver still can learn how to launch the car with his inbox launch control system (brain and feet). Yet you could use L/C once or twice to get a benchmark of what the car can do...
Sorry for the dumb question but except for the 2010 ACR with different gearing. Wouldn't it be possible to add the aero stuff to regular srt10 coupe and make it very close to the ACR performance wise?
Difficult decision. Looks wise I like the blue silver combo better, so iconic on the viper. But if priced equally the black one seems to be the no brainier. If it's the same to you the black one should be the easy choice.
Cool video. I can't wait to see what Stig can do with it in real life and what the guys from Top Gear UK have to say about it. Not that I value their opinion too much but it's going to be interesting to see how they try to find something wrong with it or if they can't how they will say something...
I know what your are talking about most pictures I've seen of Viper Red on the sun make the car look orange/red. Curious to know if there is any effects on this picture.
+1 for the answer... Custom paint or good lens?
The fact is that so far the poll shows that the Gen5 original headlight design has the highest percentage, which clearly shows that SRT nailed it. While it's still under 50% at this point, I think most people would agree it's a really difficult task to please everyone and the poll shows that...
I wanted to update this thread to help anyone shipping a Viper in the future. After I booked my order with intercity lines about 5 weeks ago, they had a lot of trouble to fill up a truck to go pick up my viper. Not really the fault of Intercity lines I'm sure they offer a top notch service...
Interesting turn of events so far. It seems that around 63% of voters would have rather a different headlights design. My vote went to the hybrid headlights with the fang like fog lights. I think it looks a little cartoonish in the pic but I'm sure it would look a million times better in real...
I'm sure there won't be any changes on the design at this point and I don't think there will be an aftermarket solution to change the headlights either. It would be too expensive because you would have to modify the clamshell hood which is all carbon fiber. It was not as hard to do it in photo...
