Re: Official Hotel of the VCA for NY Auto Show with Cocktail Party, let's meet Stryke
Completed my reservation - thanks, Bobby!
Looking forward to seeing everyone. I guess how fast this is selling out shows how desperate we are for a new car!

Hmm... now saying room block is FILLED????? (I waited one freaking day to get Henry's Starwood member number and look what happens!)
I'll call them in the AM and see what's up
This is going to be FUN!

Signed up and working on booking flights!
Sounds like a GREAT party - Henry and I will be there for the whole thing!
As usual, George at MGW showed some GORGEOUS stuff. The quality is superior and the design perfect for our snakes.
You will never be disappointed with a purchase from MGW.
Great to see you again, George!!!!
There will be plenty of time for feedback. Seeing the car at VOI was special treat for the Viper diehards that seem to be 1) multiple car owners and 2) some of the more passionate folks.
For the SRT team to be able to get live feedback is a much better focus group than showing pictures on...
Kala is SPOT ON. Just because we have ovaries doesn't mean we can't handle the torque. In fact.... since we're not into the whole "mine is bigger than yours" thing, we end up being more in tune with the Snake's propensity to bite and we treat the throttle more gently.
If your wife likes your...
Thanks for the gasoline info - our previous vipers have been sensitive to less that about 92/93 octane - so I'll throw some octane boost into the car before it leaves today.
Took a look at the weather and it's looking to be unseasonably warm - so the packing had a last minute change.
(Although...
Do It.....
It's days of immersion, in conjunction wtih World Challenge, a great hotel, access to Dodge so we can browbeat them into making the next Viper what we want....
Do It.
As a wise friend once said to me - "You can't put a price on your fun"
Alright, funnyman, I was thinking outside the box!
And - it'd seriously disturb the neighbors - even more so that the race car, or the trailer.... (CAR TRAILER - smart butt!)
SLC fares appear to be CHEAP.
Just booked Raleigh, NC to SLC -round trip - taxes and fees INCLUDED for $303
American Airlines.
It wasn't even worth using frequent flier miles at this price!!!
See you there.
wow - RIP Josh - you were a true Viper owner who "got it" - and who lived your Viper life to the fullest.
This is REALLY terrible - tragic, so young - you just never think something like this can happen.
At least we know in Heaven - he'll keep the paddle shifters away from the Viper.
My right foot is fine - and I think the car handles quite well as is, thankyouverymuch.
I'd prefer you leave it alone.... and do the LEAST POSSIBLE intrusion when TC / ESC is mandated.
Would you prefer we used the phrase "ran out of talent"? ;)
You can certainly have a mechanical failure that would cause an accident and it would not be classed as driver error, IMO.
Am I the only dork who thought that the pattern on the stripe was supposed to be that of the Pilot Sport Cup tread?
In that regard - I thought it was pretty cool.
Then I saw the closeup. We really need fewer gangsta wannabes and more tire tread junkies.
Ugh.
One ad touting the frame (really - full frame is OLD tech) and the V10 does NOT mean that Viper was supposed to be a technological innovator.
From personal and in depth discussions with SRT and the old (as in "former", not age old - ha ha) Team Viper - the Viper was designed to be a bold...
For ESC to work - he would have have had to have been IN the car.
As someone else noted - there is likely much more to this story.
Perhaps instead of TC - maybe a "valet button" so you CAN let your friends drive the car and they can look cool for their girlfriends with 300 HP?
