    wow - RIP Josh - you were a true Viper owner who "got it" - and who lived your Viper life to the fullest. This is REALLY terrible - tragic, so young - you just never think something like this can happen. At least we know in Heaven - he'll keep the paddle shifters away from the Viper.

    Would you prefer we used the phrase "ran out of talent"? ;) You can certainly have a mechanical failure that would cause an accident and it would not be classed as driver error, IMO.

    For ESC to work - he would have have had to have been IN the car. As someone else noted - there is likely much more to this story. Perhaps instead of TC - maybe a "valet button" so you CAN let your friends drive the car and they can look cool for their girlfriends with 300 HP?
