I think that there are 2 kinds of people in this world - those that drive cars with lids and those that don't. I don't think you can move a person from one camp to another - they are just born that way. (Not that there is anything wrong with that).
I am a coupe person. Period. I like having...
Stickier tires will not last longer - as folks have suggested here - tire management, set up, alignment, etc will be better. Stick with street tires for safety, feedback, and the learning process.
If you are comparing the Viper with the Lotus - I don't even see how. Torque is addictive.
The Gen III / Gen IV is reasonably easy to drive as others have said here. Way too many folks are just not smooth in their inputs (you've seen them on the highway - yank the wheel this way, or that way...
We had a similar goofy issue with our 1996 GTS. It would be ok when it was in "openloop" - i.e. WOT or when it was warming up - then would stall at lower RPMs.
It was a faulty ground on the Idle something or other, IAC (?) or intake air thingie (I'll call Tom Sessions and update this post...
I don't believe that there are any CAAP tours at present. I have been trying to arrange factory pickup and Kim at Viper HQ confirmed this.
"Trim" status should mean Prefix.
Any way we can get rid of another ad that has a freaking ringing doorbell adds a few more moments of non-dog-barking sanity into my day.
Think they could take on the Swiffer "Baby Come Back" ads next?????
(Although I love "think with your dipstick, Jimmy")
Hi there
a few hints
Buy the special tool to remove the uppers - they SCREW IN. You'll need about a 40 foot extension for your socket wrench. the big socket is great. They also have a ball joint 'popper' to remove the old ones. I am not a big fan of the "beat it out with a 5 pound sledge...
if you want a DODGE VIPER - then buy one now.
Like it or not, things are gonna change. It's not going to be a DODGE for much longer.
Looking for a deal is fine - but don't be surprised if you get caught empty handed when the new Viper is perhaps more "rare" and has a higher sticker price, or...
Based on today's ruling in BK court.... I am assuming we'll be getting news on the sale of Viper shortly too. Seems to me all this would have needed to be approved today.
Holding tight.
Esp with my car in some "trim" status...

Actually - I think it's a wake up call for all the folks that get angry because a track wants them to have the proper safety equipment to run in the 11's or 10's or whatever. There are a lot of folks with high HP turbo and SC cars that take them to the dragstrip and don't have the safety...
Ralph Gilles's ACR is probably the closest ting to a race car that's out there right now - ECU, headers, and a few other tweaks. His lap times were well within range of a VRL spec comp coupe - even riunning the Michelin Pilot Sport Cups against the Hoosier VRLs.
The aero on the ACR is tons...
One thing that will likely be different for VOI 11 is that it will be a VCA event. While prior VOI's were opened up to ALL Viper owners, it is quite possible that the next one will be a VCA ONLY event - i.e. membership has its privileges and would be scaled accordingly. I am sure there is data...
We did both our upper and lower garages last winter with a commercial floor company coming in and doing the work. the rented a generator and bead blasted both floors. Then applied the products....
the upper garage is quartz aggregate and the nice thing here is that it is monolithic and can be...
Oh John - quit making sense! You really think companies would do due diligence and exclude pending sales / negotiations when forming an alliance? ;-)
Honestly - it's not exactly been a secret that Viper was up for sale - so they would have been excluded in any alliances with FIAT. or...
As far as I know - Viper is not impacted by this deal. Herb will make sure that Viper remains true and he's coming out of retirement to do so. I see that as a good sign in that the future of Viper will be directly linked to the foundation and core beliefs of the original Grailkeeper.
I suspect that the aero with the top down would be horrendous - and possibly even dangerous and Dodge can't grab that kind of wind tunnel time again to play around with the wing / splitter / canards so that they cold be used top down and top up.
The American Club Racer is not designed to be a...
