Shoulder harness installation is a walk in the park. Lap and anti sub..... well, not so much. You can "kinda" feel the side mounting holes through the carpet. Unlike Gen 2's - the seatbelt anchor is attached to the seat on the inside - not the tunnel, so it's not a direct swapping of the...

    Viper designer becomes VP

Couldn't be happier for a great and talented guy. Congratulations, Ralph.

    CAAP's future.

They'll find a buyer MUCH sooner than that. There would be no sense to scuttle the car for many years and then have someone else other than Chrysler resurrect it. Viper will survive - it's profitable, it's desirable, and it comes with great people and technology / assets.

    Thanks VCA And Chrysler

Wow - what an event. It was absolutely incredible being able to see everyone in Detroit. Meeting new folks (Mike and Holly) seeing "old" friends - (Jeff, Jon, Marko and a host of other Viper Days and Viper Racing League folks, Pemberton), the SRT folks, the Chrysler folks, Ralph, Chris and...

Webhead Site Users Gathering At VOI 10

Can't wait to see everyone. Now if they'll just open up the order books so we can get the 09 Orange ACR on order before we leave, it'll be perfect. I miss having a Viper street car. The Uber Wagon is a lot of stealth fun, and loads of torque - but it's not Viper. ;-)

    Running for Southeast DAL

Hi all! After a while being dragged away from Viperdom, I am ready to dive back in. I will be running for Director At Large for 2009-2010. In order to run, I need 25 signatures. (Today, of course, always a procrastinator) Anyway - if you would like to electronically "sign" my petition to...

    Help...shop damaged my tires

the bubble won't get better. That's a damaged sidewall. Probably happened if they didn't have the right machine. Low profile tires are a bear to mount. Sometimes underinflation or a pothole can cause the sidewall bubble - so I hope you saw it before leaving the tire shop. Otherwise, it'll...

Recalls on the 1997 Viper GTS

As long as some idiot doesn't make your oil filter a permanent fixture while he's at it..... And yes - whining about NGR makes you worse than a GIRL. :smirk:

VCA member killed last night in Traffic accident

RIP John - he's been a long time VCA member if I remember correctly. Very sad.

    First of all I'm OK

Also - the A Arms - ball joints at the top and bottom of each corner of the suspension - they are probably loose / bent / bad. Last time i checked they are not shown as being "serviceable" in a Viper and they require you to get new uprights / control arms. Also - most likely the upright "arm"...

What are the lightest SRT10 front rotors

I suspect you could get the World Challenge 2 piece Brembo rotor from the Comp Coupe catalog. It's a real race rotor and already works. If i remember correctly - they are obscenely expensive - as are more Brembo 2 piece set ups. John Archer would be my source.

What's faster, the old Comp Coupe or the new ACR?

Comp Coupe - VRL version - weighs in at about 2995 with low fuel, but all other fluids.

So where are all the original people from this site?

I had saved the "archived" posts on the OLD OLD board - not sur eI still have them - but they'd be funny to read through. Still here - lots of other distractions now, though.

    Brake Fluid

You are fine. to realize the true benefit - you'll probably have to bleed through about a quart to get all the old stuff out - but folks are using fluids from Ford High Performance to Castrol SRF.

What happenned to #13 at MAMS?

Fire suppression will rarely extinguish a car fire. It's really only meant to buy the driver a few extra seconds to get out. Corner workers and fire personnel would be the ones with the "big guns" and the best shot at extinguishing the blaze and even then, with all the "fuel" available, it's...
