I've seen used side sill insulation for sale periodically. However, I purchased what looked to be the identical stuff that is in the inside of the Comp Coupe (self adhesive, insulating material with a heavy quilted aluminum shell) from BSR Products (NASCAR supply shop) in Charlotte. Not sure...
So, no teaser emails from Lutz yet? :omg:

One last comment - thanks for the cool color choices - gotta love the orange. :1up:
Before you go - thanks for attending and sharing your insight with the members here - it's pretty cool.:woot:
Oh - and hit up the board admins for a rockin' avatar.
Can we expect a more "raw" feeling when driving this car? The SRT was almost too civilized and I think that attracted folks that got in over their heads as witnessed by the number of accidents that we've seen (i.e. they should have gotten the M-B or Caddy XLR). If the car is a little more of a...
GREAT set up! Easy to tie the car down, huh?
(Make sure the trailer has 2 5K pound axles and not 2 3500 pound axles - that is the standard....)
Be safe!
If you are going to use these for protection / safety, please reinstall the anti-sub straps to the same connection points as the lap belts, lay them over your seat, sit on them and then bring them up between your legs - and I hate to say this - like a diaper. Having them drape around the front...
Most of the comp coupe guys run different settings at all four corners based on the direction of the track and the types of turns. Also - shocks, springs and sway bars are different.
We can usually get away with less than one degree negative camber in the rear and anywhere from 1.2 to 1.9 in...
Color is AWESOME. Congrats on getting toward completion of the build.
Might want to rethink the brake duct hose..... fog light holes blow directly at the tire. It's a low pressure area, and to plumb the hose - you end up with about 3 right angle bends in an 18" area.....

I am thinking that is you can pour hydrogen peroxide on a cut in human flesh, your paint ought to be able to handle it. ;)
Thanks for the dryer sheet tip - I'll be checking that out!!!!
Get the R hooks from someplace like www.awdirect.com so that you hook these into the frame slots instead of the straps themselves - as the hooks on the straps will tear the holes in the frame. Hook to the R hooks inserted into the frame holes - that's how the cars are transported by Reliable...
Agreed fully - I am not afraid of my E55 WAGON (469 HP and over 500 ft lbs of torque) and I am ok with all the traction control nannies on it. But - it's usually me and the dogs in it - and I won't be bringing it to Viper Days... and it's not a sports car. And it's an automatic. And I don't...
Actually - I am not sure I'd be that annoyed with true switchable traction control. I'd probably be annoyed that in order to make the car "safe" for the lowest common denominator the car would be devoid of a soul. Then - you make it switchable, and said moron never realizes HE was just the...
if the argument is that these cars NEED traction / stability control in order to save drivers from themselves (and that's a valid argument, by the way) I don't see how Dodge could make it defeatable 100%. And then - the first moron that switches the TC/SC off and immediately totals their car...
