Ignoring the pissing element of the story for the moment, but when I saw the thread title it made me think of a similar experience I gave a friend of mine...also with a M6. He is really into his car and has lots of Dinan mods (no doubt it's an awesome car), but I took him for a little ride in my...
Don't forget Ralph's wink wink comment during the gala about the "forged internals" of the new engine. I have ever confidence that SRT is planning a forced induction option to compete with the NEW ZR1. Especially since the Viper nation, despite all the blustering about NA power, doesn't seem to...
My .02.....I've had nothing but fantastic experiences with the corporate SRT groups including the SRT track experience team. However, the same cannot be said for the dealers. Some are better than others, which I guess is true for every car manufacturer. As it is, SRT owners already have a pretty...
They opened it a few times during the actual reveal. I got a few crappy photos through the open hatch in fact. However, they just used the key. Put it in, turned it, it popped open, and they raised it up. Exactly like it is on my Gen 4.
There are quite a few exterior differences between the models depending on options . Here's a link to the spec sheet for both cars: http://bjmotors.biz/images/2013-srt-viper-spec-sheet.pdf
As for the hood the spec sheet states, "...with six air extrators" for the SRT hood. Other significant...
Awesome photos. I was at the press reveal as well as evidenced by this photo in which I'm taking a picture of the interior and some weirdo guy is looking at my ass.
Joe wins, but I'll add....if you really want the old stuff then keep you older car or go buy a Shelby cobra repica. Those are all legitimate options. (or as Jay-Z said in On to the Next One, "...you want my old sh*t, buy my old album"). The Viper became popular as a "retro" car, which is clearly...
Hey Storm, there are some great images in this video. Shows the hood and a silver color. Now, I love what the styling guys did with the car personally, but I get a little annoyed with all of the "everything is functional" lines just because; A) I would ASSUME that everything would be functional...
I stated this in another thread, but Mark and Scott confirmed a "special" color for the launch. I said "matte?" They just smiled and said "maybe." If you look at the style trends, SRT is already offering a lot of blacked out pieces and blacked out wheel options, so I'm guessing that they will go...
Do you have the part number? Exact same thing happened to me. Got a quote of $500 to fix it from the dealer (warranty expired). Wondered if I couldn't find a cheaper option. Thanks!
Thanks for the bolded "am an owner" lol. I guess I should bold this as well....I have a 2008 Coupe. :P Man, I never realized that VCA became so hostile to non-members (my membership just lapsed and since I had a press pass to NY there was no need to renew it). Anyways, I bought my car in Dec...
^^^ Agreed. In reality, the only figures that will really matter in terms of the Viper's reputation will be it's track times. Given the improvements, I think things are looking good. Going to be more than one Gen 5 owner in VA. ;)
Well, I've been following the market a lot over the past year in preparation for selling my '08 coupe this summer. There are two on ebay....two or three on autotrader....maybe they aren't exactly what you want, but there they are.
