    Vipers at the Track

I looked at the photos of the Hoosier R6 in the Tire Rack website and they do look pretty slick. Do you think they are too slick to drive to the track on dry days? My Kumhos worked in the wet driving home from Utah, but weren't fun and I had to watch them closely. They say the R6s are DOT marked...

    Vipers at the Track

I am planning to go. I think the drivers meeting is at 8:30. Are you thinking about running or just coming by to watch? Steve W is planning to come, but Steve O isn''t planning to come according to his email today. He has his Hoosier R6's, but hasn't had them mounted yet. Last I heard they were...

Exotics @ RTC this Saturday 5/26

That is an awesome group of cars. A Bugatti Veyron roadster is an extremely rare car as was the Ford GT-40 (I think it is a Mark 4 or a "J". I am looking forward to going there this spring.

    Vipers at the Track

I heard from Steve O that his new wheels and tires came in. He is hoping to go to Shelton on the 1st of June. I will get registered to run then and hopefully some of the other Vipers can come down to play next Friday.

Exotics @ RTC this Saturday 5/26

I would like to, but I have a car show in Bremerton. I have been there before and it has some very nice cars. It will be interesting to see what they think about your Street Serpent. I will try to go there this spring and I will put out a post when I can make it.

    Lighter Socket mount for GPS

I have a TOM TOM XXL GPS and I have been trying to find a decent spot to attach it which wouldn't be in the way or block the view out of the windshield. I found a Lighter Socket Mount from a company called GPSLot in Arcadia California. It plugs in to the cigar lighter outlet and powers the GPS...

    Vipers at the Track

I was there on Friday and a black Viper that looks an awful lot like mine made a dumb off track excursion. Very embarassing, but no damage. The driver hit the rev limiter in 3rd on the short straight prior to the corkscrew and went beyond the correct braking point. There was a lot of gravel on...

    List of Gen V options

Thatr appears to be a very extensive list. It helps people understand what the differences in models will be and gives me a chance to pick and choose what goodies I want.

    Vipers at the Track

Nice lap time. I wish I had been there on Saturday to see you. I enjoyed my track day Friday. I really like that track and it seems like a pretty safe one compared to Pacific Raceways in that things to hit are considerably farther away.

    Driver mod... Where to start?

It was nice meeting you on Sunday. Thanks for the nice photos. You can check out the local track which has excellent instruction on using your own car on track. The instructors bring you along at an appropriate pace and make sure you know what you are doing on the track. Here is a link for one...

To drive, or not to drive?

When I bought my 99 RT-10 it had 58,000 miles on it and now I have 85,000. It is a daily driver unless it is raining, which it does a lot in Washington State. I am still planning to drive it to VOI 12 which is 3,000 miles one way. It is a solid car and I bought it to drive. Interesting enough...

To Stripe or not to Stripe - that is the question

I like the graphite stripes. I did my Gen 2 car this past winter and I really like the more subtle look of the graphite colors. Just my 2 cents.

canadian in kirkland / may 8-12

I just thought of another event that will take place near Kirkland on May 12th. They have a car show every Saturday morning with lots of exotics like Lambos and Ferraris and all other nice cars. We showed up with 8 or 10 Vipers one time and it was fun. You can check out the website for...

I am going to run on May 11th witih my 1999 RT-10. The track is a nice 2.5 mile road course with some nice elevation changes and a 1/2...

    Get ready you track rats

Long Daddy, thanks for the nice video. I went there a couple of weeks ago and got a ride in a BMW M3 for 5 laps and was impressed. At that time I wasn't ready to drive the track as I was healing up from some back surgery in February. I am ready now and looking forward to running there. I...

    Gen 2 seatbelt harness

I just finished putting in Team Tech 6 points in my 1999 RT-10. On that year the threaded sockets for the eyebolts behind the seat are a bit of work to get to. I had to find 2 tiny dimples in the plastic bedding material behind the seat (after removing the rear console) and then grind a hole to...

Awesome SRT informational videos! SRT I applaud you in every way!

After watching all of those very informative videos I would suggest that everyone check them out. I think that before you post , whether it is against of for the new design , everyone needs to really understand about all the details on the car. Just seeing it isn't enough information to really...

2013 Gen V picture on Leftlanenews

I think the Cerebus bean counters thought that a mid-engine V-12 was way too expensive. It was a beautiful car with gobs of horsepower.

New Member - Info about my RT/10

I use my 1999 RT-10 for a dry weather daily driver (84,000 miles). I run it on track and have done some mods on it, but I have saved all the stock parts so that many years from now someone can take it back to the way it came from the factory. For the time being I am not worried about resale...

I want the viper but it says 'you no fit'

I recently had experience with someone wanting to find out whether they would fit in my 1999 RT-10. He called himself Moose, so I assumed he was pretty big. I invited him to come to my home and see if he could fit comfortably. We checked him out with the top off and based on these photos I am...

    RT 10 Stripes

Nice job on the stripes. They did a spectacular job. That should knock them dead at any car show. I just did stripes on my RT-10 and it is nice to see others adding some flash to their roadsters.

1999 RT-10 Winter Refurbishment and upgrade

I am not real tall, but it is still close to my head. I imagine someone could install a seat lowering kit to give them a little more space. It is a lot lower roof than the factory bubble top. I can't get in it with a helmet on, but they usually only allow you to run on track with the factory top...

1999 RT-10 Winter Refurbishment and upgrade

I forgot to include one item in my post about refurbishing of my Viper. If you are tracking your car and get some scrapes in the front fascia and other areas you probably hate to have the car looking bad. Using some standard touch-up paint with the little brush isn't a very good way to fix the...

    Looking for a new wax

Griot's Garage has just released a new Premium Carnuba Paste Wax. I used to use Pinnacle Souveran, but I got a can of this new wax and it appears to be even better than the Souveran I used before. Their price is $39.99 for a 14 ounce can, and based on hnow little is needed to do a whole car it...

'Corvettes on the Gulf' Meet an ACR Voodoo

Congratulations on your win. The ZR-1 is nice, but has no zip or agressive appearance compared to an ACR, especially a Voodoo edition. It was nice oif them to allow cars other than Corvettes to show. I am sure they were blown away with how it did.
