I have the same problem and will drive the car on to a 2 by 4 to raise it up enough for the jack to roll underneath the car.
When I change oil I use a set of heavy duty ramps made for a regular car and put an 8 foot long 2" by 12" on each ramp to decrease the approach angle for the car. I then...
Thanks for all your help. What a great group we have with the World of Viper. It is hard to imagine other brands doing such helpful things and sharing technical information.
I have a small question for you. Are the stock throttle bodies on the 97 and 99 Vipers the same and would the entire manifold and injectors interchange exactly ( no problems with electronics or other issues)?
I just got done making my reservations at the Grand America hotel. I am looking forward to my first VOI. It should be a nice drive down and it sounds like there is a ton of things to do and places to see.
I plan to tag along with the NW convoy.
I am planning to meet up for the convoy too. Is the I-5 southbound truck scale at exit 142B near 348th street?
I am not familiar with that one as I am usually headed north.
This year was hopefully an anomaly. It was a Deed of Gift challenge where the challenger could dream up whatever kind of boat they wanted and the defender could sail whatever they wanted. I really liked the mult-nation challenges of the new style AC boats as they were pretty fast. They were...
I just finished watching the US challenger BMW Oracle win the America's Cup 2 races to 0 over the Swiss multihull Alinghi. The boats, especially the US one, were very Viper like in the speeds they hit. Today Oracle hit 33 knots in only 9 knots of windspeed. The boat is 100 feet long 90 feet...
It sounds like an nice and easy drive. I am really going this year and I imagine I had better get going on hotel reservations. Hopefully we can discuss some details at the planning meeting on the 20th.
Per the postman I have also read that the giants of pollution are the huge ships and the incredible number of commercial aircraft flying all over the world.
Why do they keep squeezing the cars to milk out better mileage and less pollutants?
Because they can.
You did an excellent job on your RT. I have a black 99 RT-10 and I like to have it shine and look its best. I have been using Griot's products, but I am extremely impressed with the job that Turbo Wax ( plus your hard work) did on your car.
Keep up the good work.
Mike, I hope that you realized that I was making light of the cold weather and came up with what I expected most people to see as a rather bizzare theory and a crazy solution. I wanted to go to the extreme on what people thought about how to save the world.
As far as climate change, I belive...
I have been noticing a that a significant portion of the United States has been experiencing an extremely cold winter in spite of all the "global warming" predictions which have been talked about by "climate experts".
I have a theory about why we are currently having such extreme weather and...
Re: A new ACR, a used Viper, a new Rubicon, an srt8charger, 500.00 cash and a handgun
Amazing. It must have been a brilliant mind that thought an 18 year old driving an orange and black Viper ACR would not be noticed by police. What a sad end to an awesome vehicle.
I have a 1999 RT-10 and I have saved all the original parts like the shifter and stock exhaust system. With so few Vipers built it is a good idea to have the items in case you decide to sell in 10 years or so and someone wants to be able to put it back to its original look. I also have been able...
I didn't make it to Detroit, but I am planning to go to Salt Lake this year. I imagine that we will have a caravan from the Pacific Northwest going down. It is about 14 hours from here and as long as the weather behaves it should be a great drive. The track there looks awesome and the race will...
Thank you for the great photos. It is really nice to see VIPER all by itself. Those are some spectacular cars, especially the GTS-R exactly as it came off the track. I kind of like the "Toxic Orange" color. Maybe the car magazines will have to report on Vipers now.
I know that this is wishful thinking, but is it possible that Fiat has been looking into the "Skunk Works" at Viper and may show a sneak preview of a clay model of what they plan to do for 2012? After all there have been some sketches of possible Vipers for Gen V, so who knows?
I have noticed...
