Basically a Mitsubishi 3000gt with less aero gimmiks and different body panels. I always was a big fan of them and all the other early 90s sports car in the same league. Didn't realize that it shared the mirrors with the Viper. Any other parts which they have in common?
Interior is interesting as well with the Cellphone and steeringwheel controls :) This was in 1993, so I guess a cellphone in a car was still considered acceptable :lmao:
Intersting ....Ferrari just announced the exact opposite. They are going to reduce their production to make the brand even more exclusive. More demand than supply does make sense to make it more appealing and exotic.
Found this brochure...not sure if it's real or fake. Shows a GTS brochure for 1993 (brochure printer 12/92 on last photo). It says the vehicle described is an experimental concept car. Anyone seen this before?
I have a feeling that's going to be a write off pretty soon. He's going into the corner WAY too fast :D
In all seriousness...age makes no difference...drive carefully and enjoy the car.
I guess the question is if you have worked for the Viper yourself and earned it or had your parents buy it for you...many people see such a car as a reward for lots of hard work. Also, there is the question of responsibility - is a young driver mature enough to drive such a demanding car? I...
It was a stock option, called the Trans Top, but was only available in Europe and Japan. Check Wikipedia, it has some info on it. But to come back to the Viper, I never understood why they changed from a targa to a convertible in the first place. I like the convertible, but the lines of a targa...
She fainted and was driving a car! Wow, now that truely deserves a driving ban for live...imagine she faints while on the road, goes into oncoming traffic and causes a collision.....
If you want to see a funny way of making the removal of a targa top automatic, check out this video.....and this is a CHEAP car and still has fancy electronics. And if you leave the rear trunk lid up, it's an ACR wing as well :)

I think they're fairly sturdy. T56 tranny is pretty good...I mean, it was also used it Corvettes, Cobras, Astons...
A test drive should make up your mind...
RT10 design would be the way to go....hopefully they will at least have something behind the seats to make it not look like a bathtub on wheels :) The lines just flow better if there is that hint of a targa bar behind the seats....Ferrari found a nice solution and I'm sure it can be done with a...
Also, the Gen2 is much more raw, so that's something to consider. Personally, I like it old school, but you should definitely test drive a Gen2 before taking the plunge :2tu:
Your yellow SRT10 looks great....another option would be to buy a hardtop for your Viper...there are some really nice ones available. They're not cheap, but you'll probably loose less money than having to sell your beauty and buying a Gen2 GTS....
I think they were introduced in 1996 for the GTS and 1997 for the RT10....if you have them, there should be a knob halfway down towards the pedals under the steering wheel. But it looks like you need to grow longer legs :lmao:
