Vancouver Auto show did not have the new Viper nor the Vette....they don't even bother with those cars here....just Minivans and other cars you find in every mall parking lot. Hope to see one in person though at a local dealer soon. I'm sure it looks absolutely stunning.
Jeep looks very...
Both are great cars...wasn't MB first debating to base the SLS on the Viper platform when it was in the first phase of it's design? I think I recall having seen a test mule for the SLS on a Viper platform in some magazine a long time ago. The layout certainly is similar with the long hood and...
Vinyl will be quite a lot cheaper and will look the same and you can go back in case you don't like it. Don't forget to do the hard top as well :) What colour RT10 do you have and what stripe colour are you thinking of?
You will lose more money on a new car the second you drive it from a dealership lot than you ever will on your genI Viper. I honestly don't think you paid too much for a mint, low mileage Viper. Enjoy it and drive it :2tu:
Don't forget to check out the for sale section here from time to time. There are always some really well maintained Vipers who are looking for a new owners.
Did you have the battery disconnected? Might need to relearn the idle.....start her up and let it rev at about 2000rpm for a bit and then slowly reduce the revs....might take a few driving cycles to get it set up right. Also, are the battery terminals clean - check for corrosion or wire damage...
I always say that a car is worth what you get for it. If someone is willing to pay $46k, then it's worth that price. Same goes for the GenV....if someone is willing to pay $10k for Stryker Red paint, then it is worth $10k....John was not asking for our opinions on price when he posted this...
For those who are saying it is rediculously overpriced, you might want to check out Kelly's Blue Book. I know it is just a ballpark figure, but if you put in a 2002 RT10 with the stated mileage, then a retail price of $44500 comes up....Private Party sale is still $41k....not too sure where the...
Definitely an option. I've been looking for a way to hook up an mp3 player. It's a bit pricey though :( , since aftermarket cd decks are about the same cost...
You can get a shifter lowering kit for a few bucks that eliminates the rubber isolator and lowers the Shifter between 1 and 2"....I made my own and the difference is night and day. So much more crisper and way more feel to it. If you want to know what the stock shift islolator looks like, I made...
There seems to be straight pipes with a cross over in the rear...hard to tell what kind of tips it has. You would have to take the side sills off to see if they changed the resonators and cats as well. If the rear is changed, I would guess the system is at least a cat back. Have you heard it...
I saw those videos some time ago and had to laugh so hard....they should have hired some actors for this to make it a little more watchable. I have the tape in my garage as well, but who nowadays has a VHS player to actually watch it.
Thanks for the temperature measurments. High Flow Cats do seem to run a lot colder. Too bad there is no data on the stock cats, but if anybody out there makes some readings in the future, we now have a benchmark for High Flows. Ever since I finished my exhaust setup, the sidesills just get warm...
Video clips never do an exhaust justice, but the difference between stock and your new system is like night and day. Now that 708 cam is really coming to life. It will definitely scare old people :D
PS: Must be cold in Germany...
Take the hard top off and take it for a spin.....it will sound even more intimidating. We have had some nice warm and sunny days this week and I have driven open top with my new setup. You can't compare the sound you perceive :) Looking foreward to hearing some sound clips of your exhaust.
Judging by the tire marks, they have done it a few times....hopefully they all follow the curves by the end of the shoot and not straight down a cliff....
It is a LOT easier to paint if you take the hood liner off...I left it on the car and it is a tight place to work and you have to stand at an awkward angle to reach it. If I would do it again, I would definitely take it off and do it that way. The hood clips will break off if you try to remove...
