    Heads up display (HUD)

It's actually really useful, since you don't have to look down at your gauges to get all the info like rpm, speed, shift point...You can focus on the road ahead, and all the info is right there in front of your eyes. Ebay sells some pretty simple HUD kits that plug into the OBD2 port for well...

Plan to order T/A this week...questions about pros/cons of color choices

Each colour gives the Viper a different personality, but they all look great! Are T/As available in Canada, or are you ordering from the States?

    RT/10 Headlight help

Maybe you can just disconnect the chime...not a cure, but it will get rid of the symptoms

    Heads up display (HUD)

I had it on one of my Vettes, and I loved it. I guess if you got an aftermarket HUD, you'd have to use a reflective coating on the windshield to make it bright enough (maybe a reflective clear sticker of some sort).

    Viper Disrespect..

Top Gear is an entertainment show. Many of their viewpoints are scripted and have to be taken with a grain of salt. Although Clarkson often makes fun of American cars, he loved the ZR1, and also owned a Ford GT. And Hammond is a US car nut... Personally, I really enjoy Top Gear...because it's...

viper gts gen 2 question ?!?

Stripes are painted on, so you can't just take them off (unless someone simply put vinyl ones on). Buy whichever color combo YOU like best...otherwise you wont be happy with it :2tu:

    Cats no Cats

I've got high flows with small bullet mufflers on the side and rear muffler delete, and it's quite loud. Remember, louder is not necessarily better, and even though it might sound great initially, you'll soon find that not being able to have a conversation in the car and having to wear earplugs...

    New Interior Pics!

NICE! A lot of effort must have gone into this...definitely worth it :2tu:

    Interested in RT/10

Wikipedia will give you a short summary of the different generations: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SRT_Viper Gen I's do have their own appeal, since cars probably don't come any rawer or more savage, but Gen II's will definitely be easier to live with.

    Interested in RT/10

If you're interested in an RT10, I would go for a GenII model, as they are quite a bit more sophisticated (if you can call it that on a Viper) than the GenI.

    Skip Shift Indicator

Regarding the idle, the first line on the tach is actually the 500 rpm mark :2tu:

    Skip Shift Indicator

Corvettes have the same feature. Really annoying, but as mentioned, there are skip shift eliminator kits to overcome this.

Where to buy ECU/Computer for 1997 Viper?

Just remember that the replacement pcm will have a different mileage and VIN stored. That might be a problem when trying to sell the car down the road, if somebody checks. Maybe get the mileage reprogrammed at your local delaership once you have the pcm installed.

    Rt/10 Hardtop

I just put my hardtop back on, weather is becoming a little more unstable here in Vancouver. Unbelievable how quiet the interior gets with it on  Definitely worth it. The only downside is that I can't store it in the car, so it's either on or off.

    GTS Cover

I totally forgot the side sills were made of aluminum. At least no worries for rust :)

    My 1995 Viper

Just saw a yellow RT10 yesterday....it was a Gen2 though. Looked stunning in that colour.

    GTS Cover

Well, you won't get any "dings" in the Viper, being made of composite material....

Few shots of my '01 ACR

Nice ACR!!! Must scrape the lower bumper quite a bit being so low :D

    I almost made a mistake...and what a dealer experience!

Dealer's will give you nothing for a trade-in. Sell it yourself and then buy your dreamcar. Personally, I would rather go and get a Gen3 or 4 used if you want more power than a mustang, but everybody has a different taste. One thing is certain, most people won't be able to tell a GT500 from a V6...

    K&N filter question..

Can't imagine dust getting into the filters in a garage. There is a K&N Filter Kit you can buy for cleaning and relubing, but I really doubt you need to.

    Pics of "The Beast"

Sunvisors look :omg:....I took mine off for the summer. Just 2 Screws on each side. Takes about 20 Seconds per side. Most modern cars have them better integraded into the bottom of the window frame. Otherwise great looking RT/10.
