Anybody Needs Factory 2002 GTS Headers or should i junk them?

Not a bad idea. lol I just got finished hanging my busted fender and tail light from a little "incident" at Road Atlanta earlier this year. My diff is a little heavy to hang, but it might be interesting to "re-create" the layout of the car by hanging my spare sparts on the wall. Hmmmm...

The Official Gen IV Swing-Arm and pan group buy list

I agree. It blows my mind that Dodge screwed up from the beginning, and then when they know there is a real issue, they try to take advantage of the customer, instead of fix it. The oiling issue and the window regulators have been a KNOWN issue for some time now, and Dodge has done NOTHING to...

Forget the handle. I just hope they fixed the damn caliper so you don't wear the inner pad down for no reason!

Speed Channel (Test drive 2013 SRT Viper)

They looked they were getting on it decently in a couple of quick clips, but they were just playing and passing the rest of the time. I wish they had actually gotten after it for a complete lap and told us what times they ran. I know the track well and know what I run there, so it would have...

Speed Channel (Test drive 2013 SRT Viper)

Somebody needs to tell Joshua Davis that he isn't on the track and doesn't need to sit straight up in the seat and up on the wheel. It really made the interior of the car look extremely cramped to me.

Speed Channel (Test drive 2013 SRT Viper)

I'm really looking forward to this one since I know Road Atlanta so well. It will make it a lot more interesting for me. :)

    295/30 18 PS2s up fornt?

I don't know about the series on the P spec tires, so I can't comment on which is correct. I run 295/30/18's up front though and love them. No issues whatsoever. I also run 295's up front in R6's at the track and think I'm probably going to go with 305's next time.

Gen V vs Aventador vs LFA (engine revs)

Bill, I have to agree on how many people seek me out to tell me how the great the car sounds when I'm at the track. It really surprised me at first, but with my exhaust set-up and screaming up high in the revs, it does sound great. I just never thought people would come find me to tell me...

Gen V vs Aventador vs LFA (engine revs)

^^^^^^^EXACTLY^^^^^^^ I'm not a huge fan of the LFA (especially at it's price point), but NOTHING sounds like that car does. I have heard one in person and it is beyond amazing. Performance-wise, eh. Sound-wise, OMG!

Tires. PS2, Cups or wait for the new (355 rear) P Zeros?

I run 295's up front on 6 spokes as my street tires. Plenty of guys running 305's up stock rims at the track as well. As for PSS coming out in 355 size, from what I have heard (I haven't seen actual dimensions), the 355 Corsa is actually not any wider than the 345 PS2's were. You se this a...

Tires. PS2, Cups or wait for the new (355 rear) P Zeros?

How in the hell did you get 18k and 12k out of a set of Cups? Straight, highway cruising only through the Everglades? I don't think I've ever heard of anywhere near that on Cups.

High lead content in my oil analysis?

Thanks Dan. Aluminum readings have been consistent and are not high. Since I just bought a track car, the Viper will only being going to the NARRA event at Road Atlanta each year, so the track usage is going to go way down. I'll just keep an eye on future levels and hopefully see the lead...

New Review with Scary Final Words

I was curious what kind of laps they were turning, until I watched the video. They were driving like pansies and I wonder why they had it set-up to use the "drift" loop instead of running through 10b and straight up under the bridge.

High lead content in my oil analysis?

I've taken apart and put back together most everything on the car by now, but I have not been inside the engine myself, so I need some help from you more experienced guys. I send an oil sample to Blackstone Labs at each oil change and I have a concern that I'm hoping someone can help me with...

    MGW shifter install

Joel is right. I did mine from the top side, without ever getting under the car, but I did have to cut a rectangle hole in the tunnel towards the passenger side from where the shifter actually comes up through it. I drilled 4 holes where the corners of my cut-out would be and then used a small...

    Radar detectors

Maybe not in CA, but there are still a lot of cops running K elsewhere. At least I think it's K, I only know it by the sound, but Ka and Laser are not the only ones around here.

    GA Region Viper news

Don't forget the Road Atlanta NARRA Viper Days will hopefully be a joint event with AL/TN and GA. I'll talk to Scott about more details as we get closer. I also think we can get some breaks on price for entry if we have enough cars. I believe the last I heard was basically they would waive the...

    Radar detectors

I would love to see some jammers. Were they homemade, or gvt/military type things?

    Radar detectors

Gotcha. The passive jammers only work on laser, and actually work very well (well, some of them). I believe it's the Laser Interceptor model that gets the highest ratings in tests and causes the laser gun to give no reading almost every time. My Escort shifters work very well also. I had a...

    Radar detectors

Bingo. I borrowed a friend's V1 once to see if I liked it, and unless they've made serious improvements, no thanks. What good is the extra range if you get false alarms all the time and start ignoring the warnings because of it?

    Radar detectors

Traffic enforcement is about $$$. Otherwise, traffic enforcement duty police would be shooting radar from glow in the dark green semi's so that everyone saw them and slowed down. They would give out radar detectors with your license and the police would be required to use only a constant-on...

    Radar detectors

They have to have a very flat, reflective surface for the laser to bounce back to them correctly. Basically, they always aim at the front plate or headlights. If you were behind a car and they hit him with laser, yours probably wouldn't pick it up because it's such a small beam and it went...

The problem with that is that the ZR1 was already pulling on Viper in the qtr mile too. Look at the MPH.

Best comment you overheard someone say about your car...

Not so much a comment about the car, but the post about seeing one in the showroom reminded me of the first time I took mine in for service. I walked into the showroom while I was waiting and they had a copperhead roped off. I was walking around looking at it and all the sales guys were...
