    Knocking noise in rear brakes

The offset is indeed different from font to back. However, if you did all 4 corners and got the rotors mixed up, you never would have gotten the calipers to bolt up correctly if you had them wrong. Trust me on this. lol

Is "new" VCA finally going to deal with bad supporting vendors?

Where the hell is Steve anyway? This thread's been up for almost a week.

That, or using a cell phone.

    Raffle car

While I appreciate Dan's response and efforts to sort out the mess that is the VCA, if anyone believes that "as this was an internet raffle, no license was necessary", they need to have their head examined.

    Viper belly pan material question

Based on weight and the fact that it's bare, I would have to assume it's aluminum.

Is it me or had the DIY section gone to hell?

Check some of the other Viper sites. The problem is that most of those DIY's were done by people who were either kicked out or fed up with the VCA bs. Once you're no longer a member, your photo limit goes to basically nothing, so those people either deleted them because they were done here, or...

    Raffle car

I'm sure they do, but it's not their job (or even place) to have to answer that question. All they ended up doing was being the "pass-through" for the car after things went to hell and they pulled out of allowing the raffle to be held there. I don't blame them for wanting to stay out of it as...

    Raffle car

I believe the winner has to take delivery within 90 days of the car leaving CAAP. That puts 2014 out of the time-frame. It really shows a lack of "openness" that simple questions cannot be answered. They can keep saying they are "gathering data" and "working" on other issues (which shouldn't...

    AMB/MyLaps TranX260 Transponder

Is it hardwired or battery powered? The value really depends on if the original owner signed up for a mylaps account, since you can't re-set the account for the transponder anymore. AMB has really locked up a monopoly to screw people over on these. If an account was never set-up, or the new...

    Lap timer.....

I'm running the full Traqmate Traqdash system in the race car, and all of the info and split times you can get from it are crazy. I'm still trying to learn how use all of it, but it made the dash so much cleaner without having to have all of the gauges installed in it. The only thing that...

    New Viper teased?

I'd be careful with a used one (that's out of warranty). I got lucky with my E55. Bought it with 30k on it and drove it 100k with basically no "major" issues, but I've heard horror stories from other owners on repair costs for a lot of little things. The engines themselves are pretty damn...

VCA back to the same old routine

This is the answer that still pisses A LOT of people off: "The letter from Chrysler clearly states that there is a conflict of interest. Having C2C no longer manage the club gets rid of this conflict of interest and in accordance to the letter from Chrysler, satisfies them." Chris has proven to...

Having trouble actually finding a Viper

I agree the coupes look better than the verts, but as other's have said, don't dicount the verts completely. As for tracking, adding the roll bar isn't a big deal. I had mine powder coated silver to match the car, and my other interior pieces, so on top of the added safety, it really makes the...

Wondering what everyone's opinion would be on this

I wouldn't call that "breakage" if there was no impact. I would call MOPAR directly and tell them that VPA reported the situation incorrectly to them. Although, the relationship between MOPAR/Chrysler/SRT isn't all that great right now, which could help or could hurt.

ACR-X #49 for sale at an amazing price

That "looks" like the paint scheme on the car Goldberg crashed at RA in 2012, but it's very possible I'm completely incorrect. The ad says it hasn't been crashed, so I'll have to go with the ad.

    New Viper teased?

Here's my comment on their FB page. "Seriously? After all of the PR and Marketing FAILS, you come out with a teaser about "making a mark on history", and this is what you come up with? Unless a BEAST of an ACR comes out soon, a forced induction model form the factory, or at the VERY least, a...

VCA Drama: what are the known facts?

You are correct, but I think you're underestimating the sheer numbers of people from those regions who are not going to renew with the VCA for 2014. Technically, the VCA can still say they have all of the chapters that currently exist. The problem is that maybe 3 people from a current region...

Gen-4 Guys... possible reasonably priced tuning solution...?

^^^^^THIS is the PERFECT way to look at it^^^^^ To be honest, I'd never thought of it that way, but it makes perfect sense. It's the psychological difference of timing that probably gets most people. Dropping $4k out of nowhere for the ability to tune an engine can sound steep. However, if it...

Wierdest Problem with Head Light and Fogs

If it's not doing it now, I would definitely lean towards the loose ground issue that impalassed brought up. I've had loose grounds drive me crazy before. Just the vibration from higher RPM's, road imperfections, wind, etc can cause a loose ground to rear its' head. I had an intermittent...

Wierdest Problem with Head Light and Fogs

If the "reboot" doesn't work, follow the wires coming off drivers side turn signal, headlight and foglight. It sounds like you've got some wires that somehow (melted/torn cover, etc) are touching together and causing a short.

    Thinking about the brakes...

While it might be a nice option for some, considering the fact that carbon brakes are EXPENSIVE and the sheer number of unsold Gen V's sitting on dealer lots, I don't see them wanting to jack the price of Gen V's like that. Even it is just an option.

    LOCKED OUT

The fact that there is a key hole under the door isn't a big deal or a secret. You still need a key, so I don't mind that one being out in the public. What does not need to be out in the public is the trick of how to get into the trunk/hatch without a key.

Its worth saving, help john help you

I have been very vocal about major issues within the VCA for a while now (and have the multiple moderated statuses to prove it). I will say that I do think is trying to go right road with eyes to the future, and I commend him for that. The problem is that the trust is so far gone (from members...

Its worth saving, help john help you

WHere have you been Funzo? lol The raffle was not licensed and held illegally. Even AFTER the word was out that was illegal, Lee CHOSE to have it anyway because the club didn't even have enough to pay some regions their cut from the 2013 that were paid at the beginning of the year. I honestly...
