6 point harnesses can be installed in the factory holes, no need for drilling. You will have to cut holes in the carpet to find the drilled holes. Congrats on the new car.
I have been to the track 4 times with my ACR is the Texas heat, zero failures. Others I know have been many more times than that. You will not be disappointed in the car.
Judging from the improvements made to the SRT-8 Jeep and the corresponding price increase, I am expecting the same from the Gen V Viper. Both owner groups were asking for the same things, more power, better interior, and better ride quality. I predict those items will be improved, and the base...
Gen II < Gen III < Gen IV performance wise (I have owned all 3), all other items are subjective according to the owners opinion. If I had to pick only one out of those three to keep, it would be the Gen IV ACR, overall it is the best car IMO.
According to info here somewhere (if I remember right), M1 filter is fine for Gen I and II cars, but the SRT filter is suggested for Gen III and IV cars (forgot the reason for this). I use M1 on my Gen II, and SRT on Gen IV.
Go to the autozone website and punch in your zip code (I punched in 76102 for Fort Worth and the ad showed the sale). My local store knew nothing about it either until I told them, the sale started yesterday and they haven't received the ads yet.
Thanks for the heads up, it is valid here in Houston also, I will be going to get some tonight. With 2 Vipers and an SRT-8, I am in the same boat as you, bought 20 qts the last time they did this, all gone quick! :)
I think you are onto something here: baller mods for less than a dollar! Put the other $2999 you would have paid for stripes toward making the car faster.... :2tu:
