    Nitto Invo's or NT05's

I'm using Invo's as my street tires on the ACR now. Better traction than PSC unless the PSC's are hot, not as much max traction as the PSC's when hot, better ride quality than the PSC's, very happy with them so far. Sidewalls are a little soft in spirited cornering (of course I am used to the...

    Latest from Edmunds. Dyno test.

Yes, I made 556 hp / 531 tq that day. Fully stock 09 ACR, 1600 miles on the ODO, 93 octane fuel (standard premium here). Three other Gen IV's made more than 550 hp within the same hour on that same dyno in the same conditions. Someone needs to run a low mile, stock gen IV and a gen V on...

    Car&Driver:ZR1 beats the Viper...again

Did anyone else notice how much wider the track is on the ZR1? I didn't know it had a wider track. There is also a typo on the rear tire size for the Viper, it states 335's, maybe they tested a Gen II??? :D

What would you like to see in the ACR?

Nice list of changes, but those would clear $150k easy IMO. Unfortunately for SRT, that is "exotic" car territory where most buyers who have that kind of coin for a street car will go a different route than the Viper. The buyers who want an ACR for track duty (or street and track duty) would...

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

Gen IV ACR looks like a ricer S2000? Talk about spewing sewage.....

Monday we find out who is faster at Laguna Seca, ZR1 or Gen V

It's too bad Bravo didn't have the foresight to tape this drama, it would have been much better than all the "Housewives" shows they have on now.... :D Anyone who is fortunate enough to own a Viper (currently or will be getting a Gen V) or Vette ZR1 should be happy to own one, period! Go...

Great place for your state inspection with Viper.

Take it to Morgan at Tomball Dodge, he is the only one there who drives the Vipers. Don't take it anywhere else that requests to drive it for the brake test (I understand your concern, I don't let them drive my Viper either). p.s. - I still have your cargo mat.... :)

    Where are the Performance #'s

Thanks for the info, I didn't know they had revised 1st gear along with the rear gear to accomplish that.

    Where are the Performance #'s

Respectfully, I don't see a 2wd car that needs to make a human shift before 60 mph doing 0-60 in less that 3 sec.

    2008-09 ACR top speed

184 mph top speed, drag limited. You'll need more power or less drag to reach 200 mph. An aero coupe would be a better choice for the Silver State Classic, but you will need more power to achieve 200 mph.

    Delivery, drive or ship?

Drive it in 2 days with a nice hotel stay somewhere cool. I remember both of my Viper purchase road trips vividly, one from the left coast, one from the right coast back to Houston. Or, I could drive it to you and fly back.... :D

A Viper finally for the tall.....???

LOL! I'm 6'2" and have owned every generation Viper but a Gen I and fit fine in all of them (even with a helmet on). It is not easy to get in and out, but once you are in things are fine. I'm only 190 lbs, so that is in my favor also. You will fit in a Gen V easy with the revisions they have...

    Tire heat cycle

When you start sliding around in places you didn't used to under similar track conditions, your tires are done regardless of tread remaining. You will know it when it happens, there will be a big difference in grip level, especially in the rear. When you get a new set of tires on you will...

Anyone ever use Dash Command in their Viper? Apple users?

I have it with my Kiwi Wifi OBDII reader, works well and gives tons of info. I have used it in my daily driver but not the Viper yet. The app is $50 but will update as time goes along. Already came in handy to read a code off my daily driver as well.

Annual Holiday Party on December 8th

Well, it is going to be my last VCA event before my membership expires, so I thought I would enjoy a nice dinner (which I am paying for), a beer, and some time with the Viper folks. Oops, national took care of the beer part also. So I'll enjoy a nice dinner, a tea, and some time with the Viper...
