    Shifter is very stiff and difficult to move

    Check on the floorboard under the clutch pedal and see if you find any brake fluid leak down there...check your brake fluid and clutch fluid levels......if it gets worse, you won't even be able to shift it at all.......last time that happened to me I replaced clutch sleeve, clutch, pressure...

    Go back to 3.07...... What it came with when new.....at 70 mph you will only be turnin about 1600rpm in 6 th gear...around town you will usually only be in 4th or 5 th gear........I don't know about drone noise? Pretty quite to me....you can probably buy from someone in the VCA a set of 3.07...

    worst parts price quote from a dealership yet?

    The stealerships prices for our parts are beyond STUPID.......I never buy from them anymore.....you are $$$$$$$$ better off going online and finding a replacement part yourself and can get it overnight........ Oh HARLEY stealerships are just as bad......go on line......

    :rolleyes:If you put the 3.07 gears back in, you will get about 17 in town and 21-22 on the hwy and I feel you will love it a lot more and be a lot happier.. I have always got that mpg in all my Vipers no matter if they were stock or TT or S/C when you drive them like any other car staying out...

    2001 Viper GTS Dyno Pull with minor bolt-ons :) (vid+pic of results)---

    My BONE STOCK 1997 GTS dynoed 423 rwhp and 469 rwtq......as it came from the factory......it only ran 7.80s 1/8 mi with a 1.90 60' and 12.29 1/4 mi with the factory Michlins.....with some slicks I am sure it would have busted the high 11s....but I never raced it with slicks.....I raced it...
