Noticed the same lack of traction in mine last night--lows about 48 degrees. We must remember to be very careful because we are so used to hot temps--Dave
I'm very surprised that you guys got all that info out of the VOI drive. I was there and drove one on that very short course. I never shifted past second gear so really don't know how well the new shifter works, never stood on it so really have no feeling as to how the launch control works...
I guess I'm really lucky when I bought my 2010 from Roanoke--Roanoke sold me a "lifetime/no mileage limit warranty for around 3K. It's a very complete warranty well above just drive train. The only out Chrysler has is that if the repair costs more than the car value at the time--they buy the...
With all the beautiful colors available, I wouldn't touch that color with all the inherent problems, let alone pay extra for the issues, unless is a true collector car. I've seen some exotic paint jobs weather very poorly over time. IMO it's not a color for the road.--Dave
I've said this before on this forum--If SRT wants me to lay out 120K to 140K for the Gen 5 fully equipped, then it better show a commitment to my Gen 3 and my Gen 4 in terms of bad design flaws. I'll be damned if I'll assume that there are no flaws that will show up on the new Gen 5--these flaws...
Sorry--no "kicking" intended. Besides, you can kick back at us in the summer when it's 100% humidity and in the 90's for 4 months straight down here. We are all so lucky to have the best cars for the buck no matter where we live. Have a great Holiday season!!--Dave
If I'm not mistaken, the weekend or so before was a NHRA drag event where there was a serious crash do to bad track conditions. Also in that event several top cars had to shut down early due to extreme looseness which cost them a win. I ran a SRT Challenger there at VOI and I got loose during...
It's a shame that they don't care about Chuck Tator. Think also about Gen3 and Gen 4 window regulators. I always wonder about these things when the hype gets rolling about how wonderful SRT is and Ralph is. I would think that Ralph could find a way to fix both issues if he wanted to. After all...
Amazing that this gentleman has already done this for the Prowler, and is willing to look at the Viper situation, all the while our "friends" at SRT just ignore the issue. If this man can devise a fix, why haven't Ralph and the boys?--- Just a thought--Dave
The pictures have not sold me at all--at this point like the Gen 3/4 better, but I'm waiting for VOI in Charlotte to see the real car. I admit that I like a clean angular look over a rounded look. I'm amazed at all the trashing of the Gen 3/4, when it is such a strong performer over the previous...
I have absolutely no chips under the rocker panels because I made small rock deflectors out of clear Lexan to prevent this. I had a thred on it some time ago, but the moderators immediately removed it. --never really did know why as I was not trying to sell anything. I was new to the club at...
1.5K cost for a good re-film job plus the possibility of paint damage during the film removal. I had a buy order for a white 2005 Ford GT pending inspection. When I looked at the car in 2008 to purchase it, I discovered that most of the car was "filmed" causing a great discoloration issue...
After about 5 yrs or so they all begin to "yellow"-- looks horrible on white or light color cars over time. Exposure to UV really speeds up the the condition. For that reason I've not used the film. Another point is that a stone impact will dent the film looking much like a chip in the paint...
I'm waiting to see several Gen 5 cars at VOI. I sure hope that they have both the GTS cars and the SRT cars so I can see the differences close up. I understand that we may be able to drive them as well as look at them. Because we have all seen so many pictures and only the one car at NY, I'm...
The faulty window regulators alone in the Gen 3's and 4's made the extended warranty an easy decision for me. I bought a lifetime warranty for the 2010--Dave
