We need to make this a big issue at VOI 12 when we see the SRT guys. They have to know that before we buy another Viper ( which Id like to do- Gen5), we expect some help with this design flaw. I asked the question regarding the Gen 5 window regulator and was told that it was redesigned and that...
Guess I'm just old and chicken--only drive each car occasionally and not too over the top. I just enjoy the cars so much that I really don't need the thrill of high speed in addition. What I do enjoy is the ability to take a corner at speed, rather than slow down as you would do in a normal...
Nice to finally see the car in a natural situation without all the special lighting and reflections that are part of every other shot. Frankly the car looks rather rather "normal"--just a blend of earlier generations.---Dave
I couldn't agree more--I think about that every time I lower a window--wish someone would press Ralph on this for a fix that is reasonable. I even asked about the 2013 regulator and was told it's "redesigned" as well as a wider opening in the 2013 door frame to make access easier. Obviously SRT...
To all respondents--
Sorry for the delay in my response to all your kind remarks about my question--I've been involved with guests here at home big time and just left the computer off for a time. However, I must first thank all of you for responding and for not blasting me with sarcasm, but...
I've never been to a VOI. I'm registered for VOI 12, but I just want to make sure it's worth 2K for three days for my wife and I. We are not bringing either Viper so we will not be doing the events with our car--just watching. Any thoughts would be appreciated--Dave
I'm thinking strong magnets behind the facia that will hold the plate during road use--I'm sure that some of the talent on this site can develop a simple solution--or I will-- We don't use front plates here in Fla but it still makes me mad to see this---Dave
I was disappointed that it was mostly a Ford Advertisement--at least the last 2 parts. They told nothing personal about the man--heart transplant, kidney transplant, or family. Also nothing was said about who will run the company. I know the special was shot in 2011, but everyone knew then how...
I too wonder where that info came from. In Auto Week that featured the Gen 5, the earlier vipers (Gen1 to Gen 4), were described as poor handlers and poorly assembled. My Gen 3 and Gen 4 all have better interiors and paint then any of my Vettes ( I've had 4 vettes). I really wonder if these...
"Stop Flamebaiting"? Anyone who would destroy a Viper like that has no brain--just like folks who endorse our out of control National Debt. But at least I'm comforted now that he endorses gay marriage. What a relief that that pressing issue has been resolved, so that now maybe less important...
David--
Over doing the praise?? Are you kidding? Look at the great thing that you did for that kid--how incredibly nice. Sure hope I can meet you some day. Going to VOI in Charlotte? If so I'll look for you--Dave
I wouldn't trade my Gen4 Viper for any other car. It's the fastest, best handling Viper ever made, and as morjensen says, it's reliable enough to really play with. I understand the look of the Gen 1 and Gen 2, but that look is in the eye of the beholder. I prefer the Gen3 and Gen4 look and I...
