MTGTS-- Thanks for the info--we will be there--thinking about the hot laps, however was there for the NARRA last May and witnessed a Z06 get totaled and a few other incidents. Not sure if we are up to the risks being OLD and HEALTHY--kind of like to stay that way --Dave

fuelman-- I'd like to drive over from Sarasota just to watch and listen--not compete or run on the track. Can I do this? What would be the charge for my wife and I? I've never been able to participate in any of the North Central VCA events so i'd like to give this event a shot. Thanks--Dave

    Wish List

I know I'm going to get beat up for this, but I think it's time for a killer auto with paddle shifters--many exotics have this. It's been proven many times that the paddle shifter trans is faster that any manual. As I said, I know I'm going to be beat upon, however the world class exotics have...

    Clown Shoe??

It's a shame that nice cars are not just appreciated for what they are. I've had many Vettes and liked them all--I just like Vipers better due to design, performance, and rarity, however never felt the urge to put a Vette down. Each special car is probably a pride and joy for someone so why ruin...

Scariest exprience in a car ever!!!

Thanks for writing this story because we all need to refresh our minds about these cars occasionally--they can kill us and others if not respected. Very happy that you are OK and still have your Viper. --Happy driving--Dave

    Viper Colors in general

I like the white/blue stripe combo. '05 is stone white and the '10 is viper white which is very white. I'm here in Fla so the light colors are much cooler if in the sun for any length of time.- Last time I looked I didn't think that white was that popular in 2009.---Dave

Sarasota area (Tampa to Sarasota) VIPER Get-together

Dave-- We talked last night and I forgot about the April 29th date at Sebring. I'm planning on going to Sebring--should we use that date for a get together or should we proceed as we discussed with a get together before that here in Sarasota? Either way it will be fun to meet new Viper...

    It Might Be Laughing!

Are we not forgetting the cost difference?--guess I'm practical enough to consider to consider cost and reliability issues along with repair costs. Viper wins hands down!! Also the Viper is still relatively rare which is cool. The Viper will always hold it's own in terms of general performance...

Regular Usage of Battery Save Mode

I always use the "Battery Save" mode every time I finish driving the car. It's so easy to do. I really don't care about the fact that some electronic memory functions are lost like the trip odometer. I've never had a problem doing so and I don't have starting issues. If someone knows of a...

    My Favorite Videos

David-- Thanks so much from an old guy who would love to do that. I'm afraid I'm too chicken to maybe tear up my cars let alone another person's car. You are sure a great driver. I watched all the videos from 2009 Mid Ohio I think. You sure made a great Sun. Afternoon for me--Dave

What to do when you lose control of a SRT10?

I'm glad Tony Cool asked this question because I have the same concerns. When I went to the SRT Driving experience, I hoped that I'd get some skid pan experience like past SRT programs did, but my SRT Driving Experience did not do that. Very Disappointed. I definitely need to SAFELY drive the...

Garage / Shop floor covering question

Porcelain Tile is bullet proof assuming it is laid flat with a complete coat of 'thinset" under it. I've used it for years in my car dealerships in the service areas. It's completely stain proof. Porcelain tile has color completely thru the tile thickness so the very unlikely chip is invisible...

Garage / Shop floor covering question

Look into porcelain tile. I've used it in service areas of car dealerships and my own garage--It's bullet proof and very easy to clean--dry mop. Mine was cheaper that "race deck" plastic.---Dave
