    Push button start in Gen 1 & 2

    I will be locating my push button starter in the same location as in the picture above. But I will place the button a little lower so that the starter toggle switch can be located above it. I'll post pics of my install when I start working on it....hopefully soon ;)

    Push button start in Gen 1 & 2

    I am planning on installing the Honda S2000 push button in my GTS. I also plan on installing a toggle switch with red cover. But I want it to be a true push button so that I have to push the button in order to start the car. I know of an auto wiring guru and will have him hook it all up...

    I have will not be modifying any of the electrical components and/or mileage on the odometer. Anyone could open up the gauges just as I have done. But the trick will be resealing the gauge face back onto the gauge housing because there is no longer a lip to crimp back over the gauge housing...

    I have been struggling to find a company that wants to create custom gauge faces for my Viper. It seems that most of the companies only want to work on older muscle car gauges. They don't want to touch new stuff like the Viper. But I think I may have found someone with the expertise to work on...

    Pics after removing all the weld spatter. Next step is to prime the bare metal areas. Then some black paint. I will also be installing heat barrier to the transmission tunnel.

    Now that the engine is out I took the opportunity to remove all the welding spatter inside the engine bay area, along the transmission tunnel and around the shock mounts. These are the before pictures.

    Sure lookin' bare with wheels and brakes removed. I decided to upgrade my brakes. So I ordered a set 14" SRT10 Calipers from Dave's Big Brakes. Plus I ordered an emergency brake kit for the rear.

    Pics of seat, center console and door panel before being upholstered. I have selected a wicked awesome material to cover the seats, center console and door panels with. Door panels will have two different materials. I will not be putting carpet back on the door panels.

    Transmission removed and ready for inspection. I am having the tranny inspected even though it only has 1800 miles because I would kick myself if I re-installed and found out it needed maintenance.

    Hey Ted I have made sure that the fella doing the upholstery will be removing the old covers so that they can be reused. Like I say they are in excellent condition with only 1800 miles/3000 kms of use. So, yes I will definitely sell them to you. Cheers Jason
