How many are going to wait for the srt viper acr

I don't trust boosted and computer driven car's claimed lap times. It's far too easy for Nissan to send a GTR to the Ring with increased boost and more aggressive transmission settings; settings that would destroy a daily driven car in short time. Same goes for the ZR1, they could have tweaked...

    Couple more new pictures...

Just did a little experiment. I showed the stock rear shot to some people, and the slammed one to others. It has no road presence at all with the 4X4 stance. Lower it and it exponentially improves it's stance and look.

How many are waiting on a Gen V Vert?

I can't pin point it, it just doesn't look right to me. It's too busy and takes away from the beauty of the car. Call me crazy, but I liked the "sebring" rear end of the vert. It looked very wide and low when lowered to a normal (not factory 4X4) ride height. I also liked the RT10 rear, which...

How many are waiting on a Gen V Vert?

Definitely needs a new rear. The coupe rear looks goofy on it.

Why I think the GTS will be $125,000

The Viper is a great entry level exotic, it's about $500k short of being an entry level supercar. I appreciate your passion, but let's be realistic here. The answer to your question is "dance with the one that brung ya". It basically means stick with the formula the created your success. Deviate...

    Couple more new pictures...

Re: Couple more new pictures.... Wow the rear shot looks sick. It goes from having the road presence of a Camaro SS to the presence of a Ferrari or Lambo. Much better. Still no GTS-R, but much better :D To all of you who made this happen, THank You! My dream has come true. I can now rest in peace.

    Couple more new pictures...

Re: Couple more new pictures.... Yup. I'd like to see it slammed compared to the rest of the traffic. MAKE MY DREAM HAPPEN!

I asked Ralph about mule ride height..

This! Much lighter is a great thing.

    make my dream come true

You are forgetting one key point, entertainment. This forum needs some. Sometimes you have to slaughter a sheep to save the village. <- pretty sure I just coined that

Gen V Discussions are getting very stale

Not that it will make much of a difference but they could be waiting until the car is 100% correct and production ready. If I were the boss, I know I would. Ralph had mentioned they are making the spoiler a little taller. He said the 355s are not ready yet so the pre-production cars are running...

    Next phase

The downside is exactly what you posted. To me, and I assume many others based on their posts, one of the greatest appeals about the Viper is that it does NOT appeal to the masses. That's a plus, not a minus. The Viper was not invited to play with the rest of the pack (Porsche, Audi, Ferrari...

    Ralph, Beth and Jalopnik gen V Q & A

I liked the question about the V10 SRT Jeep. I don't agree that the SRT8 is impressive enough. It's slower than the previous generation. Had they just equaled the performance of the previous gen I'd be happy.

    Ride height adjustable?

I stand corrected. For the SL, SV, GTO I could see it, but I'm shocked they had that on the base Gallardo. Does your car have the ride setting adjustments controlled remotely in cabin? Maybe it's the cars with the remote ride control that don't have the adjustments...

    Next phase

I've been that way for a long time but I'm also a realist. Ralph's goals for the Viper (targeting new demographics and increasing production) indicate something will be in the works for that. He's already "toned down" the look of the GTS with a less aggressive and more elegant (a word the Viper...

    Ride height adjustable?

The suspension is adjustable in terms of feel (i.e. sport mode, race mode, etc.) It's the ride height you can't adjust. I'm pretty sure Ferrari and Lamborghini are no different other than the front lift for speed bumps.

Meh. If you are gonna put any automated type transmission I'd like to be sourced from Ferrari, such as for their XX racing programs. I'm not 100% sure on the terminology so I will leave it out, but none of these fancy automatics. For instance, I know the Lamborghini E-gear and Ferrari flappy...

2 VIDEOS of Gen 5 being driven on I-70 in Colorado

Overall it's looking better. The front width looks fine, the back still needs some hips. The car looks tall from behind. It doesn't have that low and wide feel the GTS had, even if it is wider.

Wife passes on 2013 Viper GTS

Your mistake was ever putting a wife in an R8. That's what they make Audi TTs and Mercedes SLKs for.

Blue and Black ACR Concept (SRT Hood) - Photoshop

Nice. I like the new hood a lot better. The subtly aggressive hood works good on the Jeep, not the Viper. The Viper needs to looks aggressive in all versions.

    Couple of New Pictures

The Blue looks great in that last picture. Lower it a little more and I think that will do wonders for its' stance.

Confirmed: LEDs can be turned off

Agreed. They were not put on as a safety feature, I can't believe people believe that. We aren't near the autobahn, standard daytime running lamps are sufficient. It just so happens that this metrosexual fad happens to be functional. If it wasn't popular, they wouldn't be on the car.

Too bad they didn't make these for the street...Hopefully the fix that mistake this time around.
