I'd be interested depending on how much cutting would be required. I think you'd be able to pull more folks in if you have a photo of what the Viper dash/instrument stack would look like post-installation.
The article you linked actually seems to refer to not only plants like Conner Ave but also properites such as the Viper brand itself.
I hope you're saying that the deal you think will go through is part of that "limited interest" mentioned in the article.
Agree regarding the plant in Detroit and location of a new facility and intellectual property. You would probably need all the parts, tooling and equipment at least to get started. Don't forget, many changes to the car will mean you have to go through crash testing, smog testing, engineering...
Bob, would you interpret the fact that offers are still coming in at this late date (5/27) and that it seemed at one point Chrysler desired a completion of a deal by 4/30 and now seems to desire completion of a deal by 6/9 as a sign that there is, in fact, no firm deal in place? In general...
Robert, That dealer (I assume you mean Towbin) and lack-of-Integrity both were using that tactic. I've received calls from Integrity and Jay received calls from both and even innocently followed through with one just to find out what was said above - they just wanted him in the showroom to low...
Exactly! that's the problem isn't it - they're basically going to be taking away or at least extremely limiting your right to buy and enjoy a car like the Viper.
Had a similar issue with my '06 coupe's passenger door - the window wasn't dropping far enough when the door was opened. The dealer's fix was to replace the window lift under warranty.
Glad to hear you're doing some legwork for a Vegas proposal. I'll be very interested to see what you come up with.
If a Las Vegas VOI doesn't pan out, how about a San Diego or Los Angeles based VOI? How about it SoCal members?
The next time around I think I'll just show up and have fun rather than organize and run a highly controversial pre-VOI event such as a barbecue. ;)
I think I'll leave it to the numerous and highly energetic members of the NV VCA to help the national VCA folks in organizing a VOI here in Las...
Apparently, there was a positive change of heart regarding "BBQ" and a couple other restricted terms since VOI.9. Besides, there's nothing to fear from a great BBQ around a pool with Vipers parked all over the lawn - what's not to like?
Disagree. I think the membership requirements should stay as-is. You weren't around back then, but when the NV region had associate members it turned in to a giant pain in the butt so the associate membership was scrapped.
The alarm module is jacked up. I've had this happen before. Pull the positive battery cable under the hood on the driver's side and wait about a minute. Reconnect and the car will start and stay running. I've had the exact symptoms you describe before on my '00 GTS.
As the owner of an '06 Slate/silver coupe I hope it's worth alot. One thing you should let your buddy know is that without considering the stock rims his car is one of fourteen built in that color combo.
Please let me know how much your buddy is looking to get for his car.
