I have Both a '94 RT10 and a '57 Corvette. Love 'em both, but obviously can't compare them. They are alike in a couple of respects - fun to drive, get tons of thumbs up and are kind of primitive.
I agree with the above posts. Driving reasonably around town yields 14-15 mpg. Trips in 6th gear are always better than 20 mpg. I have reached 25 mpg several times on flat freeways with no wind(or maybe a tail-wind).
You are a little late with this. I bought a Viper calendar last year, but since none were available this year I bought two from the Corvette Forum. They were nice enough to pick a shot of my '57 for the October page of their C1/C2 edition. I elected to make that shot the cover photo too for...
My wife is from close to Lubbock,Texas. We are both country music fans. We've always wanted to go to Nashville and visit Opryland. We're both thrilled VOI7 will be there. We're going to drive our '94 RT10 from NH a couple of days early so we can see musicland in depth.
We went to VOI6 in...
Re: \'94 factory windows
If you plan on keeping your Viper long enough for it to become a collector type car, keep all the factory stuff. Corvette folks are looking for the stuff the original owners sold or discarded years ago.
Corvettes are great too.
As much as I love Vipers and Mopar products in general, I can't believe all the anti Corvette stuff on this web-site. Corvettes are different than Vipers but that doesn't make them bad. I own a '57 Corvette and it is just as much fun as the Viper.
Vipers are great.
Corvettes are too! I own a '57 Corvette and a '94 Viper. Both cars are almost a headache because of all the attention they draw. I guess it could be worse if you drove an explorer.
Hey Jeff,
Have run a '57 Corvette since 1988 and our '94 RT10 since new in New Hampshire with only one warning ticket in Brookline, NH last year. Town policeman did say next time it would be $72. Have also heard stories about Viper in Concord, NH getting tickets for no front plate.
Is that the tape we got at one of the Viper Owners Invitationals that is titled "Owners Manual Suplement" or something like that? If it is, I have a copy that I've never looked at. I'll lend it to you and you can make a copy if necessary after looking at it.
We had our dealer, Contemporary CPD in Milford NH, add A/C to our '94RT10 after the trip to Orlando, Florida for the Viper Owners Invitational. With the soft-top or hardtop the A/C makes it a civil touring car. The factory kit is identical to original equipment and can't be told factory...
I'm a New Hampshire VCA member and there are many others. I've been to Fitzgeralds a couple of times. (It's about an hour from our town.) I'd be happy to go look for you, but I'm not much of an expert past the cosmetics. What are your specific issues? If they can be answered by looking...
We have 19,000 miles on the original tires on our '94 RT10. It is all easy highway miles except down the strip once, autocross once, and some laps around the track at Sebring and St. Louis with a Skip Barber instuctor. The tires really show no wear to speak of.
Viper Tech John at Contemporary Chrysler Plymouth Dodge in Milford, NH does it right. Your car will be returned with no extra miles and if it has to stay overnight, it will be indoors.
Mark Roberts of Mark Roberts Motors will sell you a Viper at invoice. I met him at VOI5 in Las Vegas and again at VOI6 in St. Louis. He's obviously a Viper owner and VCA member. Call at 800 375 5377 and ask for Mark Roberts.
John,
82204204 is the correct part number. I have one in the shipping box that's never been opened in my basement. I bought the top, windows, and storage rack in St. Louis at VOI6. I paid $240 for the rack. It was a special deal from Mopar during VOI6. I'll sell it to you for that price plus...
