You're assuming we're all adults here. Some of us may prefer the term "chronologically gifted children".
I didn't post to crap on this guy's thread; only to share my experiences with K&N panel filters. Adults, or CGC as I prefer to be called, can read this thread and decide if they want to...
What? The viper isn't even reaching its full potential at 11.1s. Sea level or elevated doesn't matter, because thanks to recent innovations in math we can use numbers to standards ETs and compare them.
Why do thousands of other guys not break 12s? My guess is that the vast majority of people...
Never liked K&Ns because the oil can get inside the intake manifold and they do not filter anywhere near as good as the paper filters do, so you'll be sucking more dust into the engine. With large panel-style filters I have never noticed a measurable difference between a paper filter and a K&N...
I just came across this report on jalopnik today and it is a shame, but it highlights something all new viper owners should be aware of:
- Cold weather kills traction on soft compound tires, such as those that come on the Viper. You may only have 20-30% of your traction when the temp drops...
I like the exterior carbon fiber option for the viper. A bit expensive for what it is imo, but it really enhances the look of the car in a subtle way. I don't think I'd want entire body panels displaying that bare cf look...been done to death by the ricer crowd.
Obviously this feature is to make it easier to get rid of extra gas. I'm kinda disappointed they're not offering a tow hitch on the Viper as standard equipment.
GM has really upped their game with the Vette in recent years, bringing back the Z06 package a few years ago and then the ZR1. The C6 is old but it's also refined; I don't think the Viper is taking a back seat to the top-o-the-line Vette. They are very competitively matched and I think that when...
Green seems like the natural choice and it would be a great color option...but it would probably cost $25K. I like your concept but I'd personally prefer a darker green base with yellow-green highlights that appear when the car is viewed from an angle.
Well said.
The Viper is a car that, by all accounts, shouldn't exist...with big automakers being pigeon-holed into producing craptastic eco-friendly cars nobody wants by the feds to the point where they are essentially penalized for having a car like the Viper in their ranks (thanks to CAFE)...
Brake pads with a carbon/metallic content will stop better but they will create a lot of dust and eat your rotors. Fiber-based pads made from kevlar or other such materials produce very little dust but you tend to lose that initial bite and give up overall stopping power. The best option right...
