Would be nice if we could load these updates ourselves from a USB or SD card. They could provide the updates to registered viper owners thru the "uconnect" website or whatever it is called.

Ladies, please resist the urge to drop your panties... :lmao:
Since when was the Viper ever a drag car? If all you want to do is to go fast in a straight line for a few seconds at a time then it hardly matters whether your in a viper or a minivan. It's about as much of a stretch to call drag racing "racing" as it is to call participating in video game...
Your assertion that the Viper needs a DCT is the problem. If you're so good at shifting then why would you not say something like, "I'd enjoy driving my Viper more if it had a DCT." I'd still mock you for it but at least it would be a sensible position.
You're talking like 11s quarter mile times are somehow slow - they're not. Cutting 10s is even faster still, but that's almost entirely due to those cars' AWD systems and nothing more. You can have yourself a 10s sedan with the Audi S6 and an ECU flash...but it won't even come close to touching...
Considering that everyone who has seen my car loves it I'd say it's more like a general admiration than jealousy. So besides reminding us that you're an idiot, what was the point of your post? Did you trade in your 'dodge' for a porsche and forget to tack on the in-seat vagina scrubber option?
SS lines should have been part of the track pack IMO. They do make a noticeable difference in pedal feel once the brakes get hot. As far as I know, all brake fluids are hygroscopic, which means they'll suck in moisture from the air...shouldn't be an issue since the braking system is a closed...
Correction - you need an auto to cut low drag times. Don't assume all other drivers are as inept as you at operating a clutch and shifting. The porshe and GT-R both score better drag times on street tires due to them being AWD, not because they have a faggomatic transmission that beta males...
I'll put in another vote for the rinse-less wash. I've been using products from "optimum", specifically their no rinse wash to clean the car. It's very effective at removing dirt, including the nasty buildup that you'll get right behind your wheels and along the underside. I use a waffle-pattern...
Exactly my point. They basically mailed out a coupon knowing that most people aren't going to bother using it.
Is that the idea? Because this is probably the most back-asswards way of going about it.
Some random corporate executive:
"Hey there guy who just bought a 2013 or 2014 Viper! We...
Just off the top of my head we are keeping Putin's advance out of Europe...
That sounds mostly right. Adding 6 lbs of boost is roughly equivalent to increasing engine displacement by 3.4 liters (40%). Factor in the mechanical losses incurred from turning the S/C and you're probably going to be...
Just a quick question - hasn't anyone tried replacing the encrypted stock ECU with a standalone aftermarket unit from AEM or Motec to facilitate tuning?
I love my 2013 Viper and I have no buyers' remorse about having paid the "intro" price that is a bit more than the newly discounted MSRP, so do me a solid and tweak the $15K voucher to be at least be good toward any SRT vehicle and not require me to trade in my viper.
I think the 13/14 models badged as SRT will become more collectible over time. Those are the kind of quirks that tend to make cars worth more after several decades have elapsed.
When you buy a car you accept depreciation as part of the deal. Chrysler is under no obligation to compensate early adopters for eating such a big loss, although if they did cut rebate checks it would make me more likely to want to do business with them again in the future. At the very least...
Hey, hey, no need to get your pleated pants in a bunch. Who buys a vehicle expecting it to appreciate? You? Because you'd have to be a pompous clown to expect a car to gain in resale value. My Viper is stryker red, one of like 40 made, and it's holding its value in spite of the fire sale...
So the guy who designs vacuum cleaners, buckets and random beige-colored objects feels like he has the expertise to chime on on automotive design...this should be nice.
Ugly because it's not beige, almond and/or off-white and boxy in nature? I like that you compare the Viper's untouchable...
You just made jacky take a trip to wikipedia to investigate this "transaxle" myth that keeps coming up on the forums.
In other words, after talking with me you realized that you crossed your intellectual finish line, which is roughly 60 feet (being generous).
Jacky, didn't anyone tell you...
Wait, do you actually believe this crap? We've had worse winters than 2014 without a 1% GDP slide in the first quarter. Why do you have such a problem accepting the truth - that liberals and you are failures that need to be evicted from this country.
So you don't follow the news reports that...
Weren't you telling people that anything north of $80K was "paying too much" for a Gen 5? You cannot really 'over pay' on a car like the Viper - it's definitely a car that is justified in having a 6-figure price tag. Deals may happen for less, but you shouldn't be using the forum to suggest that...
